[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] Film director Jang Hang-jun has revealed that he and his wife, writer Kim Eun-hee, have pledged to become organ donors.

On the upcoming episode of the KBS variety show “Happy Together—It’s Good Not to Be Alone,” airing on the 11th, Director Jang Hang-jun said, “Twenty years ago, my wife, writer Kim Eun-hee, and I made a pledge to donate our organs.”
He explained that he had even sought consent from those around him in advance, saying, “I told my family in advance that if I die, I want them to definitely agree to organ donation, and I asked them to sign the pledge with me.”
Ahn Eun-jin expressed her empathy, saying, “I once found out that my dad had signed an organ donation pledge without telling the family. At the time, I felt a little hurt and asked, ‘Why did you do that without consulting us?’ but now I think it’s such a wonderful thing.”
On this episode of “Happy Together,” the world’s only choir—comprising the bereaved families of organ donors, recipients, and pledge signers—will appear. It is reported that through their choir activities, these individuals—who have formed a special bond by healing each other’s pain—will bring tears to the eyes of the “Rimmed Glasses Trio” and Ahn Eun-jin. In particular, it is said that Yoon Jong-shin decided after the performance, “I need to pledge to be an organ donor soon,” heightening anticipation for the performance they will deliver.
“Happy Together” is a music audition show where participants’ stories come together to form a single song. It has returned six years after Season 4 concluded in 2020. While Season 4 was a talk show-based program, the new season has returned with a music-focused format. Yoo Jae-suk, Jang Hang-jun, and Yoon Jong-shin serve as hosts.
