According to the mobile industry on the 15th, SamsungElectronics’ “Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra” took first place in Consumer Reports’ foldable smartphone evaluation. The “Galaxy Z Flip8” and “Galaxy Z Fold8,” which were also evaluated, ranked second and third, respectively.

Consumer Reports, a U.S. consumer advocacy magazine, publishes rankings based on its own performance tests and surveys of actual buyers, evaluating smartphones’ performance, usability, and reliability.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra received a perfect score of 5 out of 5 in all camera evaluation categories, including display, rear photo and video, and front-facing selfie. The camera’s performance was recognized for delivering accurate colors and sharp image quality even in challenging shooting conditions, such as low light.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 also received high marks in the camera category. In the performance and ease of use categories, they tied with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, scoring a perfect 5 out of 5.

In the “Expected Reliability” assessment, which surveyed actual buyers, all models in the Galaxy Z8 series received a score of 91 out of 100.

The “Galaxy S26 Ultra,” released last March, also maintained its leading position in Consumer Reports’ overall smartphone rankings. Following its performance last April, it once again secured sole first place in this month’s evaluation with a total score of 88 points.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra received a perfect score of 5 out of 5 in seven of the ten performance evaluation categories, including display, rear camera image quality, battery life, durability, and ease of use.

According to Consumer Reports, the Galaxy S26 Ultra recorded a battery life of 51 hours and 30 minutes in battery testing.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has also been named the best smartphone by major European consumer publications, including “Which?” in the UK, “Que Choisir” in France, “Altroconsumo” in Italy, and “OCU” in Spain.
