[Edaily Reporter Kim Se-yeon ] Hyundai MARINE & FIRE INSURANCE CO.,LTD(001450)is creating a community space for children and caregivers in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. The initiative aims to foster mutual growth with the local community by providing a place where caregivers can relax and children can play safely.

Hyundai MARINE & FIRE INSURANCE CO.,LTD announced on the 18th that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the “I-Maum Playground Yeongdeungpo Branch” in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the 17th.
“I-Maum Playground” is a corporate social responsibility initiative by Hyundai MARINE & FIRE INSURANCE CO.,LTD that collaborates with local governments to create community spaces for children and caregivers.
The Yeongdeungpo branch will be built within Eoulsup Neighborhood Park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, with a total floor area of approximately 500 square meters. It will feature a library, play area, café lounge, and program rooms, serving not only as a space for children’s play and cultural activities but also as a place for caregivers to relax and socialize.
Hyundai MARINE & FIRE INSURANCE CO.,LTD has been proceeding with architectural design, permitting, and public briefings since signing a memorandum of understanding last October with Yeongdeungpo-gu, the non-profit organization Root Impact, and the social enterprise Kko-kki Factory.
Hyundai MARINE & FIRE INSURANCE CO.,LTD will cover the construction costs and provide operating funds for the first three years following the facility’s opening. The Yeongdeungpo branch is scheduled for completion in March 2027 and will be donated to Yeongdeungpo District upon completion.
Jeong Gyeong-seon, Executive Vice President of Hyundai MARINE & FIRE INSURANCE CO.,LTD, stated, “The ‘I-Maum Playground’ is a corporate social responsibility initiative we launched to repay the love of our customers as the leading children’s insurance provider,” adding, “We will develop it into a place where children can grow up interacting with local residents and a nurturing space that the local community cares for and supports together.”
Hyundai MARINE & FIRE INSURANCE CO.,LTD is also building an ‘I-Maum Playground’ in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. The company signed a memorandum of understanding with Hwaseong City last August and plans to open the ‘I-Maum Playground Hwaseong Dongtan Branch’ in the parking tower at Dongtan Lake Park this November.
