[Edaily Reporter SOYEON KIM ] SamsungElectronics announced on the 20th that it held the “2026 Tech Forum” on the 18th (local time) in Silicon Valley, USA, inviting technical talent from global IT companies to share its mid- to long-term artificial intelligence (AI) vision and business strategy.

Noh Tae-moon, President and CEO of the Consumer Electronics (DX) Division, who attended the event, emphasized, “We will leap forward as a leading company spearheading the AX (AI Transformation) transition.”

Now in its eighth year, the Tech Forum introduces key business directions and research areas while discussing the latest technology trends. This year’s event was held at Samsung Research America (SRA) in Mountain View, Silicon Valley. Approximately 80 people attended, including senior-level developers from global IT companies and key executives from SamsungElectronics.

In addition to President Noh, attendees included Lee Won-jin, President of the Visual Display Business Division; Yoon Jang-hyun, President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO); and Choi Won-jun, President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Mobile Experience (MX) Business Division.

Earlier this year, SamsungElectronics presented its vision, “Your Companion to AI Living,” at CES 2026, the international IT and consumer electronics trade show held in Las Vegas. This forum was also held in connection with that vision.

SamsungElectronics executives shared their mid- to long-term AI vision and business strategies—which extend beyond existing smart devices to include AI and robotics in everyday life—and took time to exchange views on these topics with global talent attending the event. President and CTO Yoon delivered the keynote speech titled “SamsungElectronics’ AI Leading the Future.” He presented a new paradigm that will be created by the convergence of next-generation AI technology and robotics.

President Noh emphasized, “AI is an unstoppable trend,” adding, “It is the driving force behind intelligent, hyper-personalized experiences in every space where consumers’ daily lives unfold, and it leads innovation that transcends physical limitations.” He continued, “By becoming a partner that provides customers with the best AI experiences, we will leap forward as a leading company driving the AX transformation.”

SamsungElectronics is staking its future on robots, moving beyond its existing product lines such as smartphones, TVs, and home appliances. The company plans to expand its Physical AI business by integrating agentic AI—which goes beyond generative AI to make independent judgments and take action—with robotics technology. In July of this year, SamsungElectronics also established the “RX Business Promotion Office” as the control tower (overarching organization) for its robotics business, reporting directly to the CEO.

An AI developer from a global company attending the forum shared, “Through direct communication with SamsungElectronics’ executives, I could sense the company’s vision for AI and robotics—a vision that aims to innovate not only products and services but also the very way we work.”

SamsungElectronics plans to continue hosting various events to strengthen networking and technological exchange with top global talent.
