Kakao Games Corp. launched the “World of Dokkaebi” character name reservation event at 8:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The first round of character name reservations, held on the first day, closed early—about an hour after it began—and the second round, which started at 11:00 a.m. on the 23rd, also ended in about five hours as users quickly signed up.

“The World of Goblins” will launch on October 8 at 11:00 a.m. Pre-registration is available on the App Store, Google Play, and the Kakao Games Corp. pre-registration page. Users who pre-register will receive one of four in-game “Goblin” outfits. Prizes for events such as the friend invitation campaign include a 3-don 24K pure gold goblin staff.

Developed by SuperCat, *The World of Goblins* is based on the web novel and webtoon *The Demon-Slaying Chronicles*. It combines 2D pixel art characters with 3D backgrounds and captures a traditional Korean atmosphere in its game visuals.

During a recent live demo, the development team explained that clothing and mounts do not boost character growth stats. They also revealed the uses of “gold,” the in-game currency earned through gameplay, and the game’s economic structure; furthermore, in response to user feedback, they extended the membership period from 28 days to 30 days.
