The series made the Top 10 in a total of 18 countries, including South Korea, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, El Salvador, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Qatar.
No other Korean productions made the list.
“Scandal” is a series that tells the story of “Lady Jo”—a woman with exceptional talent who feels confined by her role as a woman in the Joseon Dynasty—and “Jo Won,” the Joseon Dynasty’s greatest womanizer, as they engage in a daring and dangerous love wager, as well as the story of “Hee-yeon,” a woman entangled in that wager.
