Launch of Two New Products: Pomodoro and Napolitan
[Edaily Reporter Kim Ji-woo ] Daesang(001680) Cheongjeonwon has redesigned the packaging of its pasta sauces—including tomato, cream, and rosé varieties—to make it easier for consumers to distinguish between them.

(Photo: Daesang) Daesang Cheongjeonwon announced on the 30th that it has completely revamped the packaging design for its entire line of pasta sauces for the first time in 12 years. The goal is to allow consumers to easily find and select the sauce they want while maintaining the taste and quality of the existing products.
The new packaging uses different colors depending on the sauce variety. Product names are prominently displayed on the front so consumers can identify the sauce at a glance. The design features the Cheongjeongwon brand logo’s oval shape while keeping the overall layout clean and simple.
The company also launched two new products featuring the redesigned packaging: “Cheongjeongwon Pomodoro Pasta Sauce” and “Cheongjeongwon Napolitan Pasta Sauce.” While both products are tomato-based, they differ in ingredients and preparation methods.
The Pomodoro Pasta Sauce contains the equivalent of about 14 tomatoes per bottle, highlighting a fresh and rich tomato flavor. The Napolitan Pasta Sauce adds umami by stir-frying coarsely chopped sausage, onions, and bell peppers in a cast-iron pot. If you want to enjoy the natural taste of tomatoes, choose Pomodoro; if you prefer a sauce with a blend of sausage and vegetables, choose Napolitan.
There’s also an opportunity to try these new products at a discounted price. Daesang’s official online store, Jeongwon e-Shop, is offering up to 46% off both new products throughout the month of October. Additionally, 20 customers who purchase the products and write a review by November 5 will be selected in a drawing to receive department store gift cards.
Yang Seung-cheol, Head of Daesang’s C-Sauce Business Unit, said, “We’ve completely revamped the packaging to make it easier and more convenient to enjoy Cheongjeonwon pasta sauces,” adding, “We will continue to introduce pasta sauces that reflect changing consumer trends and diverse tastes.”
