Kim Soo-mi, who recently announced her divorce from Gaeko, will reveal the untold story behind the success of the beauty brand she ran. She revealed that the brand previously sold out completely and even expanded into the Japanese market. She explained that she didn’t naturally have good skin, but as she shared her skin-improvement journey with those around her, she was inspired to create products that people with sensitive skin—like herself—could use together, which led her to launch the brand.
Kim Soo-mi’s passion for beauty has been exceptional since her days studying in the U.S. She revealed that, lacking the money to buy cosmetics, she would visit the cosmetics aisles of large, affordable American supermarkets and personally test unique color products on various parts of her face, such as her eyes and lips.
She recently confided that, after turning 40, she has also taken on the challenge of a new field: acting. It is reported that Kim Soo-mi, eager to learn acting, sought out a teacher on her own to take lessons and recently even auditioned for her first-ever drama. Kim Soo-mi names Son Seok-gu as the actor she would most like to act alongside. She admits to being a fan of Son Seok-gu, expressing her admiration by saying, “I’d be okay with getting hit or even being yelled at.”
Kim Soo-mi married Gaeko of Dynamic Duo in 2011, and the couple has a son and a daughter. However, the two finalized their divorce last January, bringing their 15-year marriage to a close.
