[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] SamsungElectronics(005930)is launching the “Galaxy Tab S12 Series,” featuring a large display and enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, and the “Galaxy Smart Tag 3” location tracker in South Korea.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ enhances portability with a thickness of 5.3 mm and a weight of 553 g, and offers up to 21 hours of battery life when playing videos.
Both models support “Galaxy AI” features optimized for large-screen multitasking and the S Pen. According to SamsungElectronics, they are the first Android tablets to come pre-installed with Adobe Photoshop.
Pricing varies depending on memory and storage capacity: the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra ranges from 1,899,700 won to 3,018,400 won, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ ranges from 1,549,900 won to 2,069,100 won.
SamsungElectronics is offering various benefits to customers who purchase the Galaxy Tab S12 series through the 31st. Customers who purchase the product through “Samsung AI Subscription” and sign up for a 4-year subscription will receive SamsungElectronics membership points equivalent to 6 months’ worth of subscription fees. Customers who meet certain conditions, such as prepayment discounts and multi-item discounts, can also receive up to a 20% discount on subscription fees.
Purchasers will also receive 16 content benefits, including a 6-month subscription to “Google AI Pro” worth 170,000 won and a 3-month subscription to one online video service (OTT) of their choice—Disney+, Wavve, or TVING.
The Galaxy Smart Tag 3, launching alongside the phone, is a device that can be attached to keys, bags, pets, and other items to track their location. It is approximately 35% smaller and 33% lighter than its predecessor and can last up to 550 days under normal usage conditions and up to 790 days in power-saving mode.
Using Bluetooth 6.0’s channel sounding technology, users can check the tag’s direction and distance via “Compass View” from up to 60 meters away, depending on the surrounding environment. At close range, it utilizes Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to determine a more precise location.
For the first time in the Smart Tag series, the device is compatible not only with Galaxy devices but also with iOS devices. The product is available in two colors—white and black—and is priced at 44,000 won. A four-pack consisting of two white and two black tags is priced at 149,600 won.
Dedicated accessories, including a silicone case, a loop case, a pet ID tag case, and a bike case, will also be released.
