GIANTSTEP Inc., an AI (artificial intelligence) and real-time content solutions company, announced on the 7th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with District to expand their global immersive media and spatial content businesses. This agreement was established to create synergy by combining the core competencies of GIANTSTEP Inc., which is expanding its reach based on AI and real-time technologies, and District, which operates spatial experience businesses such as immersive media art. District is accelerating its global business expansion, led by “Arte Museum,” its immersive media art exhibition brand. Starting in Jeju in 2020, the company has expanded into Chengdu, Las Vegas, Dubai, and New York, and is set to open new locations in Los Angeles (LA), U.S., and Nagoya, Japan, later this year. Additionally, it is pursuing a wide range of projects involving global IP and locally tailored spatial experiences, such as an exhibition linked to BTS’s “THE CITY” project and the production of exclusive content for the Dali Museum Dome in the U.S. GIANTSTEP Inc. is diversifying its business structure from its traditional focus on advertising and video VFX to spatial and LBE (Location-Based Entertainment) content centered on AI and real-time engines. The company has expanded its offline experience business by launching projects such as “The Greatest Love,” an immersive exhibition utilizing animation IP; “Seongsu-yul Music,” an immersive listening space by its subsidiary Silo Lab; and the spatial brand “OFFFKEY.” Through this agreement, the two companies will pursue comprehensive collaboration, including: △ sharing information related to global immersive media and spatial content; △ joint planning and production of spatial and media content; △ provision of GIANTSTEP Inc.’s AI content creation solution “TabTo”; and △ technical support for project execution. They plan to explore collaboration opportunities throughout the entire process, from the planning stage through production, technology implementation, and operation. GIANTSTEP Inc. representative stated, “The combination of District’s track record of substantially expanding the spatial content business in the global market and our AI and real-time technological capabilities will generate significant business synergy,” adding, “We will identify competitive content and new business models in the global LBE market and translate them into tangible results.”
