NUIN TEK CO., LTD announced on the 7th that it is increasing the operational efficiency of its existing production lines in response to the recent rise in orders and supply volumes for automotive capacitors destined for European automakers. NUIN TEK CO., LTD plans to first focus on streamlining existing equipment and optimizing processes, and then gradually adjust its production capacity (CAPA) and equipment readiness levels in line with future order trends.
The accelerating shift toward electrification in the European automotive market is cited as the main reason for the expansion in orders. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), from January to August of this year, the share of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in the European Union (EU) reached 21.7%, hybrids (HEVs) 36.6%, and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) 10%. As the share of electrified vehicles grows, demand for automotive electronic components—such as capacitors used in power conversion systems—is also on the rise.
The automotive capacitors supplied by NUIN TEK CO., LTD are core electronic components in the power conversion systems of eco-friendly vehicles. The company has been expanding its supply to global customers based on its technical expertise and mass production experience in the automotive electronics sector, and recently, it has been focusing on strengthening its delivery and quality response capabilities to meet the increasing volume of orders destined for Europe.
NUIN TEK CO., LTD plans to consider a phased expansion of production capacity and facility upgrades if the upward trend in orders continues. Along with this, the company’s strategy is to simultaneously stabilize performance and improve profitability by strengthening the supply base for key product groups, such as power capacitors and sputtered films.
