On the 8th, Netflix announced that Jang Dong-min, Hong Jin-ho, Ha Seok-jin, Oh Hyun-min, Jeong Hyun-kyu, Nucksal, Seo Chul-gu, Shin Dong, John Park, Jaejae, Stella Jang, Yurisa, Kim Dong-jae, Lee Do, Jeong Won-young, and Hyun Kyung-ryeol will appear on “Devil’s Plan Season 3.”
Jang Dong-min is known as the “God of Survival Shows.” Having set an unprecedented record of five consecutive survival show victories—starting with *The Genius: Black Garnet* and continuing through *The Genius: Grand Final*, *Society Game 2*, *Game of Blood 3*, and *Betting on Fact*—all eyes are on what he will bring to *Devil’s Plan Season 3*.
Hong Jin-ho, who has transformed from a world-class professional gamer into a top-tier professional poker player with cumulative winnings of 3 billion won, is also throwing down the gauntlet. Having claimed the top spot on “The Genius: Rules of the Game” with his outstanding play, he is once again challenging for the championship. Jang Dong-min and Oh Hyun-min—known as the “Jang-Oh Alliance,” a “legendary alliance” in brain-based survival shows—will reunite. The appearance of Oh Hyun-min—the “human calculator” and KAIST graduate who demonstrated cool-headed strategy and meticulous calculation skills on *The Genius: Black Garnet* and *The Genius: Grand Final*—is also expected to add to the excitement of the survival competition.
Past champions of “Devil’s Plan” and players who made a name for themselves on the show have also joined the lineup. Ha Seok-jin, who claimed the Season 1 title with sharp insight and an unwavering, straightforward strategy, will defend the pride of the inaugural champion. Kim Dong-jae, who made a strong impression in Season 1 with his aggressive and unconventional play, returns to “Devil’s Plan” after becoming a world-class poker player. Rapper Seo Chul-gu, a prodigy who entered college early at age 16 and demonstrated tenacious analytical and strategic skills in shows like “Game of Blood 2” and “Game of Blood 3,” is also joining the cast. Yuri Sa, who proved herself to be a “survival game-changer” in “Game of Blood 2,” will also be participating. Shin Dong of Super Junior, known for his god-like deductive skills from the *Great Escape* series; Hyun Kyung-ryul, a Google engineer and Seoul National University Ph.D. who showcased overwhelmingly intelligent gameplay on *Society Game*; and John Park, a Northwestern University graduate and winner of *The Time Hotel*, are joining the cast, promising intense psychological battles. Also joining the lineup are Jaejae, the mastermind behind “High School Detective Club”; Nucksal, an 18-year veteran rapper and the entertainment industry’s leading board game enthusiast; Lee Do, a star lecturer from Seoul National University and cast member of “I’ve Always Been Single, But I Want to Date”; singer-songwriter Stella Jang, a linguistic prodigy who graduated from a prestigious French university and speaks four languages; and hidden powerhouse Jeong Won-young, who dominated an in-house survival competition and swept various board game tournaments—all join the cast to unleash a battle of wits and psychological warfare unlike anything seen before.
Producer Jeong Jong-yeon of “Devil’s Plan Season 3” said, “We’re back with the strongest lineup in the franchise’s history,” adding, “I hope you’ll look forward to seeing how the first-time contestants perform amidst a field of competitors packed with past champions,” further heightening anticipation.
“Devil’s Plan” is a brain-survival game variety show where players from diverse professional backgrounds live together in a group setting to determine who is the sharpest mind. It has garnered attention as the brainchild of Producer Jeong Jong-yeon, who has produced and made a hit out of numerous programs centered on deduction and strategic gameplay—including tvN’s “The Genius,” “Society Game,” “The Great Escape,” and “High School Detective Club.”
Meanwhile, “Devil’s Plan Season 3” is scheduled to premiere in the fourth quarter of this year.
