The group DAILY cited BTS as their role models and revealed their aspirations to take on the global stage. However, rather than chasing a shortcut to success, they are determined to make their mark with their own unique music and style. Having attempted a refreshing transformation with their first mini-album since debut, they aim to establish a strong presence in the K-pop market by highlighting the individuality of their six members.
DAILY:DIRECTION revealed the message behind their new album and their promotional goals at a showcase held on the 14th at X-Calla in Jung-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their first mini-album, “WHICH WAY.”
When asked that day whether they would choose the fast track to success or walk their own path—even if it takes time—Im Ji-hwan replied, “While there may be a fast track to success, I think it’s better to quietly find our own answers, even if it takes a little longer.”

This aligns with the message of their new album. “Which Way” captures the journey of six members with distinct personalities as they find their own paths. The album broadens their musical spectrum with six tracks spanning various genres, from alternative hip-hop to rock, trap, electronic, and indie pop.
The title track of the same name, “Which Way,” blends alternative hip-hop and rock. Through its upbeat pop sound and catchy chorus, it conveys the message that they will choose their own path rather than follow a predetermined one.
The “Which Way” performance, unveiled for the first time that day, was the very embodiment of freshness. Breaking away from their previous intense image, they exuded a much fresher and cooler energy. Just watching the stage felt like a cool breeze brushing against the back of one’s neck. The six members moved in perfect unison with precise choreography, and their vocals—each with a distinct timbre—flowed together like a relay, adding to the visual and auditory enjoyment. Even amidst this refreshing vibe, they didn’t lose the dynamic energy unique to Daily:Direction.
Lim Ji-hwan explained, “The song conveys the message that even if I worry whether I’m on the right path, I will ultimately follow the path I’ve chosen,” adding, “We’ve reinterpreted a refreshing vibe—one we haven’t shown before—in a way that’s uniquely Daily:Direction. I hope you’ll sing along to the chorus with us.”
In addition to the music, the members’ transformations are also noticeable in this album. Lee Won-woo said, “We put a lot of thought into how to showcase the distinct charms of all six members,” adding, “Unlike our previous promotions, we worked hard to present a refreshing image.”
Lim Ji-hwan also contributed his own ideas to the concept planning. “While preparing the album, the members participated in meetings to discuss concepts and content ideas,” he explained, adding, “I personally proposed the concept of ‘Cupid searching for love.’”

They cited the energy accumulated from their long trainee periods and stage experience as the group’s strength. Ann Kim stated, “The group consists of members who have either participated in survival shows or spent a long time as trainees,” and confidently added, “The mental resilience and energy forged through that process are what set us apart from other groups.” Ivan also expressed confidence in their performance, saying, “Through a lot of group practice, the energy we create together has grown.”
The epithet Daily:Direction hopes to earn is “chameleon.” Lee Won-woo said, “We want to be a group that naturally pulls off any look while taking on diverse genres and concepts,” adding, “We’d love to be called ‘chameleons.’”
Their goals are also specific. Jang Yoon-seok said, “I’d love for our songs to be heard on the streets or in Shorts,” and promised, “If our song actually plays on the street, I’ll film a challenge right there on the spot.” He also shared his ambition, saying, “I want to win the Rookie of the Year award by the end of this year.”
Daily:Direction’s first mini-album, “Which Way,” will be released at 6 p.m. today.
