[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] LOTTE INNOVATE(286940)is set to target the global mobility market by leveraging autonomous driving and artificial intelligence (AI)-based transportation infrastructure technologies.

LOTTE INNOVATE announced on the 15th that it will participate in the “2026 Gangneung ITS World Congress,” taking place in Gangneung from the 19th to the 23rd, to showcase future transportation solutions such as autonomous shuttles, next-generation intelligent transportation systems (C-ITS), and AI smart tolling.

The exhibition will feature C-ITS technology that links information between vehicles and roads in real time, as well as AI video capture devices, generative AI-based license plate image generation technology, autonomous shuttles, and remote control systems.

LOTTE INNOVATE has been operating autonomous shuttles and implementing control and reservation systems in Gangneung, Jeju, and Gyeongju. It is also participating in the Hwaseong Autonomous Driving Living Lab project in Gyeonggi Province and the Iksan Autonomous Driving Smart Platform construction project.

In the smart tolling sector, the company has gained experience in building highway toll collection and traffic management systems, including the Korea Expressway Corporation’s multi-lane HANPASS CO.,Ltd. system. The company is expanding its business scope by integrating AI technology into existing transportation infrastructure and linking autonomous driving services with intelligent transportation systems.

It is also expanding its presence in overseas markets. LOTTE INNOVATE, along with other Lotte Group affiliates, has been participating in the “Japan Mobility Show Biz Week 2026,” which has been taking place in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, since the 13th, to showcase autonomous driving, AI smart tolling, and C-ITS technologies.

The company plans to identify overseas business opportunities based on the experience it has accumulated in Korea in operating autonomous driving services and building transportation infrastructure.
