[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] KNS CO., LTD(432470), a company specializing in unmanned automation for high-tech industries, announced on the 19th that it has completed a demonstration of its next-generation battery pack prototype and is now set to target the robotics, data center, and industrial energy storage system (ESS) markets. Having received positive evaluations from major domestic corporations regarding thermal management, fast charging, and safety, the company is now pursuing follow-up orders.

KNS CO., LTD recently showcased the battery pack prototype, which it completed developing last August, at a demonstration event. The two companies shared the test results following the demonstration. According to KNS CO., LTD, the prototype was evaluated as demonstrating superior performance compared to existing Chinese-made products in terms of thermal management, fast-charging speeds of around 20 minutes, and thermal runaway safety.

Based on the results of this demonstration, KNS CO., LTD plans to swiftly proceed with follow-up procedures with the client to secure the order. The company intends to focus on generating actual supply results in the next-generation battery pack business and establishing a foundation for commercialization at an early stage.

The next-generation battery pack is based on 46mm-diameter cylindrical batteries and incorporates a liquid-immersion cooling thermal management system and a real-time remote monitoring system. KNS CO., LTD also utilized its proprietary Battery Module Assembly (BMA) automation technology.

The product was developed for the medium- and large-sized robot and industrial ESS markets. A key feature is its ability to variably configure battery capacity from 140 kWh to 560 kWh, enabling it to accommodate diverse application environments and customer requirements.

A KNS CO., LTD official stated, “Having successfully completed the demonstration and received positive feedback from our clients, we will do our utmost to complete the remaining procedures,” adding, “As this product targets high-value-added markets such as robotics, data centers, and ESS, we will continue to expand our supply opportunities in line with the growth of Chonbang markets.”
