[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] Impact Tech company Finger Inc.(163730)announced on the 19th that its cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution has been adopted for the first time as the official practical training program for the nationally certified AT (Accounting Technician) qualification exam. Finger Inc. plans to use this adoption as an opportunity to expand its collaboration with educational institutions and enter the AI-based ERP education market.

Finger Inc.’s ERP solution, “PHAROS ERP,” which has been adopted for the first time in the nationally certified accounting and tax certification exam, is a cloud-based ERP system accessible via a web browser without the need to install any separate software. Since the program and data are not stored on a specific PC, examinees do not need to reinstall the program or transfer their study data even if they change locations—such as between school, tutoring centers, and home—or switch computers. As long as there is an internet connection, the system can be used in the same way, making it suitable for online classes and remote practical training.

In particular, the AT certification exam is administered by the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants and assesses candidates’ knowledge of accounting and tax theory, as well as their ability to use practical software. Starting with the 93rd exam held on the 17th, candidates for FAT Levels 1 and 2 can now choose between the existing Dezon Smart A and PHAROS ERP to take the exam; the same certification standards and exam scope apply to both programs. Regardless of which program is selected, the type and validity of the certification obtained are identical.

Pharos ERP can also reduce the burden of program management for educational institutions. This is because it eliminates the need to install the program on multiple training PCs, ensure version compatibility, or reinstall the software every time a PC is replaced. Tax law amendments and feature updates are automatically reflected in the service, eliminating the need to update individual PCs one by one. Finger Inc. explained that this allows educational institutions to save time and costs associated with program installation, maintenance, and management.

Paros ERP is equipped with features that can be used not only for certification exams but also for actual corporate accounting tasks. It allows users to import transaction data from HomeTax, banks, and credit card companies, enabling them to handle journal entries, ledger posting, year-end closing, financial statement preparation, and VAT and withholding tax filings—all within a single system. It also supports functions related to human resources, payroll, inventory, and sales. Designed based on real-world business processes, it enables users to apply the skills learned during certification exam preparation and training to actual work tasks.

Finger Inc. is also expanding the use of Pharos ERP in the education sector through industry-academia partnerships with universities and other educational institutions. The company provides educational accounts and an online practice environment, and supports the use of Pharos ERP in classes, special lectures, and student projects.

The company also unveiled “Pharos MCP (Model Context Protocol),” which enables AI agents to retrieve and utilize Pharos ERP’s journal entries, financial statements, and customer data. While existing ERP training has focused on learning how to enter journal entries and use the program, the company plans to expand its support to include training on analyzing actual ERP data and utilizing AI.

Ahn In-ju, CEO of Finger Inc., stated, “It is highly significant that, following its selection as an official practical training program, Pharos ERP has now been used for the first time in the actual AT certification exam.” He added, “The advantage of a web-based ERP is that it reduces inconvenience for test-takers caused by program installation or PC changes, and alleviates the burden on schools and academies of managing training software.” He added, “We will continue to collaborate with educational institutions to ensure that the ERP skills acquired while preparing for the exam can be applied not only in school but also in real-world work settings after employment, and we will continue to enhance AI and data capabilities.”

The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA) first implemented Pharos ERP for the FAT Levels 1 and 2 exams during the 93rd exam session. Depending on operational readiness, the institute plans to expand its use to include TAT Levels 1 and 2 in the first half of next year, ultimately applying it to all exam categories. Finger Inc. plans to enhance its services so that Pharos ERP is widely used in accounting and tax practice, as well as in AI and data education, building on its adoption in the AT certification exam and by educational institutions.
