[Edaily Reporter SHIN MIN JOON ] KEEN, an American urban outdoor footwear brand operated by lifestyle and culture company LF(093050), has joined a charitable initiative to address global poverty.
Representatives from KEEN, the U.S. urban outdoor footwear brand operated by LF, are participating in the 2026 Oxfam Trailwalker held in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul on the 17th. (Image = LF) LF announced on the 22nd that KEEN participated as a partner in the 2026 Oxfam Trailwalker Seoul, held in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul on the 17th.
Keen provided 1,000 commemorative T-shirts for event participants. Sixteen LF employees also formed four teams of four each to participate in the event. They donated 2 million won raised through a fundraising campaign. The cumulative distance walked by the participating employees was approximately 320 km.
Oxfam Trailwalker is a global fundraising project that began in Hong Kong in 1981. In Oxfam Trailwalker, teams of four complete a designated course. The funds voluntarily raised by participating teams through crowdfunding are used by Oxfam, an international relief and development organization, to address poverty and other issues in 80 countries worldwide. In South Korea, since the event’s inaugural hosting in 2017, over 5,000 people have participated, raising more than 1.6 billion won.
A key feature of this year’s event was that it was held in downtown Seoul for the first time to lower the barrier to participation. The course consisted of a 20-kilometer route starting at the Korea Press Center, following Cheonggyecheon Stream and the Hanyang Fortress Wall Path, and continuing on to Mount Bukak and Mount Inwang. The 20-kilometer distance was inspired by the distance vulnerable residents in water-scarce countries must walk every day to access clean water. The event was designed to help participants empathize with these hardships through walking and contribute to raising relief funds.
A KIN representative stated, “The event’s purpose—completing the course through teamwork and making donations—aligns with our brand’s outdoor culture, HKTs (Happiest Known Times).” They added, “We decided to participate as a partner because we resonated with the mission of Oxfam Trailwalker Seoul, which allows many people to experience the joy of walking on a course that connects the city center with nature while contributing to solving poverty issues.”
They added, “We will continue to create diverse opportunities through KIN so that more Saramin can discover new experiences and contribute positive value to society.”
