[Edaily Reporter Choi Oh-hyun ] SK hynix is showcasing its 43-year history of technological development and corporate philosophy—spanning the company’s entire existence—through works of art. The exhibition aims to convey the message that while the company has grown into a leader in cutting-edge semiconductor technology in the age of artificial intelligence (AI), this success is rooted in its unwavering commitment to its founding principles and the dedication of its employees.

SK hynix announced on the 26th that it is holding the corporate promotional campaign exhibition “Chosim: Crafted by SK hynix” at the South Atrium of the IFC Mall in Yeouido, Seoul, from the 24th through the 1st of next month.

This exhibition was organized as an extension of the corporate advertising campaign SK hynix launched this year. The first piece, “The Globe,” was created by compiling approximately 10,000 newspaper articles related to SK hynix. It weighs about 60 kg. The installation incorporates not only positive articles covering the company’s achievements but also those detailing past crises, failures, and criticism. It embodies the company’s founding spirit of “steadfast and unwavering,” reflecting its commitment to maintaining a firm center without being swayed by external evaluations, while also showcasing its status as a global semiconductor company and its determination to further strengthen that position in the future.

The second piece, titled “Semiconductor,” embodies the 16-layer stacked structure of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). Sixteen sheets of transparent glass, each processed into a different shape, are layered on top of one another; when viewed from a specific angle, they form the shape of a single semiconductor. It conveys the message “Humbly and Faithfully,” signifying that today’s SK hynix was built through the accumulation of time spent faithfully fulfilling its given tasks.

The third piece is a three-dimensional representation of the word “Do” from SK hynix’s brand slogan, “We Do Technology.” Shaped like a Möbius strip—where the beginning and end are connected—it expresses the company’s relentless pursuit of technology and the connection between people and technology, while embodying the founding spirit of striving to go “just a little further” every day.

An interactive space where visitors can participate directly has also been set up. When visitors write their original aspirations on sticky notes and attach them to a large bulletin board featuring a semiconductor circuit, the circuit’s shape is completed as the notes accumulate. The exhibition hall also screens a video documenting the sculpture’s creation process and the trials and errors involved.

An SK hynix spokesperson stated, “We planned this handcrafted sculpture and exhibition to convey the intangible essence of our founding spirit,” adding, “We will continue to devote ourselves to building a better future by connecting people through technology, without ever forgetting our founding spirit.”
