The company has confirmed the incident and launched an emergency response, but has not yet identified the exact individuals affected or the specific types of information leaked.

According to financial industry sources on the 26th, MIRAE ASSET Life Insurance CO., Ltd. posted a notice on its website titled “Notice and Apology Regarding the Leak of Personal (Credit) Information Due to a Cyber Breach” to inform customers of the data breach.
MIRAE ASSET Life Insurance CO., Ltd. detected abnormal activity in some of its systems on the 25th and became aware of the cyber breach. Subsequently, while analyzing the incident with an external specialized agency, the company confirmed the leak of personal information early this morning.
The exact scope and details of the data breach are currently under investigation. Consequently, it has not yet been confirmed how many customers were affected or what specific information—such as names and contact details—was leaked.
MIRAE ASSET Life Insurance CO., Ltd. explained that immediately after becoming aware of the data breach, it activated a company-wide emergency response system and strengthened security measures, including blocking the IP address used in the attack.

In particular, the company urged customers to be cautious of text messages and phone calls impersonating MIRAE ASSET Life Insurance CO., Ltd. or other financial institutions, and not to click on links from unknown sources or respond to requests to enter personal or financial information.
