Noul Co., Ltd. Hits Daily Price Limit for Two Consecutive Days—Will It Avoid Delisting? Maintaining a Share Price of 1,000 Won Is Key

[Edaily Reporter NA EUN-KYUNG ] Attention is focused on whether Noul Co., Ltd.(376930), an AI-based diagnostics company, will be able to avoid delisting due to a share price falling below the minimum requirement, as its stock hit the daily price limit for two consecutive days. Although the period during which the share price has remained above 1,000 won has extended to 32 trading days, the company must hold steady for another 13 trading days to be removed from the watchlist.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 26th, Noul Co., Ltd. closed at 2,170 won, up 29.94% (500 won) from the previous trading day. This marks the second consecutive trading day it has hit the daily price limit, following a 29.96% rise to 1,670 won on the 23rd.

The recent rise in the stock price is believed to have been influenced by the decision to conduct a paid-in capital increase involving a change in the largest shareholder. On the 23rd, Noul Co., Ltd. decided to carry out a third-party allocation capital increase worth 2.75 billion won with ZGOO Holdings. The company will issue 1.1 million new shares at 2,500 won per share, and the largest shareholder is expected to change once the capital increase payment is completed.

However, despite the sharp rise in the stock price, the risk of delisting has not been completely eliminated. After the market closed today, the Korea Exchange (KRX) issued a market notice regarding concerns over delisting due to Noul Co., Ltd.’s stock price falling below the required threshold. On August 13, Noul Co., Ltd. was designated as a “monitored stock” after its stock price remained below 1,000 won for 30 consecutive trading days.

According to KOSDAQ listing regulations, a company designated as a “monitored stock” due to a share price below the threshold must maintain a closing price of 1,000 won or higher for 45 consecutive trading days within 90 trading days of the designation to resolve the grounds for delisting.

As of today, 36 trading days have passed since Noul Co., Ltd. was designated as a “monitored stock,” and the company has met the requirement of a closing price of 1,000 won or higher for 32 consecutive trading days. If the company maintains a closing price of 1,000 won or higher for the next 13 trading days, it will satisfy this requirement.

Conversely, if the stock price falls below 1,000 won again before meeting the requirement, the risk of delisting increases. The exchange has advised that if the closing price falls below 1,000 won starting on the 46th trading day after being designated as a “monitored stock,” grounds for delisting may arise.

Noul Co., Ltd. is a company that develops “miLab,” an AI-based diagnostic platform used for malaria, blood tests, and cervical cancer diagnosis. It was listed on the KOSDAQ market in 2022 and is currently facing the burden of being designated as a “monitored stock” due to persistent losses and a declining stock price.

In addition to the share price requirement, Noul Co., Ltd. faces the risk of being designated as a “monitored stock” due to its market capitalization falling below 20 billion won. Although its market capitalization, based on the closing price that day, was approximately 22.3 billion won—exceeding the 20 billion won threshold—the company must still meet separate requirements to be removed from the monitored stock list for this reason.
