[Edaily Reporter YUN GI BACK ] Singer Yoon Ha has opened up about her feelings amid a legal dispute over settlement payments with C9 Entertainment (C9 Ent.), the agency she has been with for 14 years. While both sides agreed to terminate the exclusive contract, their disagreement over settlement payments totaling approximately 950 million won will be resolved in court.

On the 26th, Yoon Ha posted on her social media, stating, “I terminated my exclusive contract with C9 Entertainment last September,” and added, “I plan to resolve the remaining issues through the legal process.” She continued, “Although this is an unfortunate situation, I will resolve these matters one by one and come back to meet all of you,” promising her fans, “Thank you for waiting, and I will definitely repay your support with great music and performances.”
In particular, Yoon Ha emphasized, “The artists and staff at C9 Entertainment are not involved in this matter,” urging that no unnecessary harm come to them. At the end of the post, she reassured her fans by adding the brief phrase, “I’m fine.”
Earlier, Yoon Ha’s legal representative, the law firm Iro, stated that they had demanded the agency rectify the situation regarding the long-overdue payment of settlement funds but received no response, leading them to notify the agency of the termination of the exclusive contract last September. The termination took effect on September 14, and C9 Entertainment has reportedly acknowledged this.
Yoon Ha’s side has also filed a lawsuit to claim the unpaid royalties. According to the Seoul Central District Court, the amount in dispute is reportedly approximately 950 million won. However, since the two sides disagree on the method of calculating the royalties, the amount could change during the course of the litigation. This figure has not yet been finalized as the total amount owed.
C9 Entertainment also issued an official statement that day, acknowledging the termination of the exclusive contract. The agency stated, “Regarding the ongoing lawsuit over settlement payments, we are clarifying the matters in dispute between the two parties through legal procedures,” adding, “We will respect the court’s final ruling and faithfully fulfill our necessary obligations in accordance with the outcome.”
The agency also expressed regret at bringing this long-standing partnership to a close. C9 Entertainment expressed gratitude for Yoon Ha’s musical passion and achievements, stating, “We will cherish the precious time we spent together for a long time to come.” They went on to express their support for Yoon Ha’s future as she continues her musical career in a new environment.
Yoon Ha joined C9 Entertainment in 2012 and remained with the agency for approximately 14 years. During this period, she experienced a new golden age in her musical career, marked by the resurgence of “Event Horizon” and other hits.
