[Edaily Reporter YUN GI BACK ] Everyone has their own way of showing appreciation for their fans. Some express their gratitude with words, while others repay their fans with even better performances on stage. The group RESCENE made a slightly unique choice: they pulled back the canopy in front of fans who had been waiting in the rain to see them. Although they could have taken shelter from the rain, they chose to sing while getting wet alongside their fans. RESCENE performing in the rain. (Photo: Screenshot from YouTube channel Re_fresh) This took place during the “Geoje Yaho-! Ocean Harmony with RESCENE” concert held in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, on the 24th. Although it was raining heavily in Geoje at the time, the fans remained at the venue. While the members were performing under the canopy, they looked out at the fans in the audience. Then they made an unexpected proposal. “Can we take this canopy down?” Following member Won-i’s suggestion, the other members agreed, saying, “Let’s just get wet.” So the canopy was pushed aside, and Lisenne continued their performance in the rain alongside their fans. Footage of the group, who even performed an encore, quickly spread online. What truly made the moment special for the members, however, wasn’t the fact that they got wet. After the concert, Won-i said, “Our set only lasts about 40 minutes, but you stood there in the rain for hours, so we’re so grateful.” What came to mind first was the time the fans had spent waiting for them. Minami also urged the fans to wash up with warm water and take care not to catch a cold. Even after the concert ended, their concern for the fans’ health continued. For member Won-i, her hometown of Geoje is a place filled with special memories with fans. Last June, as a Geoje City promotional ambassador, she held a mini-fan meeting with 50 fans. It was an occasion where she fulfilled her wish to meet fans in her hometown. Even at music show recordings, she has put great care into small encounters, such as preparing gifts for fans and arranging a coffee truck. She has also created special moments for fans overseas. At her first fan concert held in Taipei, Taiwan, last October, she greeted the audience in the local language and treated them to a cover performance of TWICE’s “YES or YES.” It was an effort to provide fans who had traveled a long way for the concert with a unique memory. The reactions from netizens to this rain-soaked performance—describing it as “romantic” and “impossible not to love”—likely stem from the heartfelt sentiment behind their actions on stage. This is because they did not take their fans’ anticipation for granted but sought to reciprocate that affection in their own unique way. Lysenne is set to make a comeback on the 3rd of next month with their fourth mini-album, “PULSE.” Before sharing their new music, they left fans with one more memory that will be cherished for a long time. While the fans were waiting for Lysenne’s performance that day, what truly lingered in their hearts was the group’s sincerity toward the stage.
