[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] SamsungElectronics’ brand value has surpassed $100 billion, ranking fifth globally for the seventh consecutive year. The rise in brand value was driven by the company’s competitive edge in artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor technology and the expansion of AI experiences across its mobile, TV, and home appliance lines.

(Photo courtesy of SamsungElectronics) SamsungElectronics announced that it ranked fifth globally in the “2026 Global Top 100 Brands” list released on the 28th by global brand consulting firm Interbrand. SamsungElectronics’ brand value, as assessed this year, stood at $105.2 billion, a 16% increase from last year.
SamsungElectronics first entered the world’s top 5 in 2020 and has maintained that ranking for seven consecutive years through this year. SamsungElectronics is the only Asian company to be named among the world’s top five brands.
SamsungElectronics attributed its strong performance in this evaluation to continued investment in its semiconductor business and the expansion of high-value-added product offerings to meet AI demand. The Device Solutions (DS) division is strengthening its technological competitiveness by increasing the supply of AI-specific memory products, such as High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), and becoming the first in the world to begin mass production of HBM4.
The Device Experience (DX) division is expanding personalized AI features and cross-device connectivity across key products—primarily mobile devices, but also TVs and home appliances. This year, the company also differentiated its product lineup by launching the 8th-generation foldable smartphone, the “Galaxy Z Fold 8,” which features a new 4:3 aspect ratio form factor.
The “One Samsung” strategy—which connects products and services across business divisions into a single customer experience—was also cited as a key factor in boosting the brand’s competitiveness. SamsungElectronics plans to expand its customer-centric, integrated brand experience by enhancing AI capabilities and connectivity across its product lines.
Interbrand selects the Top 100 Global Brands each year by comprehensively analyzing a company’s financial performance and outlook, the influence of the brand on the product purchasing process, and the brand’s competitiveness within the market.
