(Photo: LINCSOLUTION CO., LTD.) LINCSOLUTION CO., LTD. received the designation certificate as a “Leading Company in Materials, Parts, and Equipment” from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy at the opening ceremony of the “2026 Materials, Parts, and Equipment Core Technology Expo (K-Tech Inside Show),” held that day at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The “Leading Companies in Materials, Parts, and Equipment” program is a government initiative designed to identify and nurture promising companies with world-class technological capabilities and unparalleled growth potential in the field of national core strategic technologies. Companies selected as Leading Companies receive comprehensive, tailored policy support across various areas, including dedicated research and development (R&D) funding, commercialization funding, financial benefits, and assistance in expanding global markets. LINCSOLUTION CO., LTD. plans to use this “Leading Company” designation as a springboard to accelerate the advancement and commercialization of its core capabilities in metal additive manufacturing. In particular, in conjunction with the ongoing establishment of an additive manufacturing (AM) foundry hub in Daejeon, the company intends to further strengthen its mass production system for high-value-added metal components to be used in cutting-edge future industries such as robotics, aerospace, and defense. The key project LINCSOLUTION CO., LTD. is currently focusing on is the development of next-generation metal additive manufacturing equipment using an “area scanning” method, designed to overcome the low productivity limitations of the existing metal “powder bed fusion (PBF)” process. Unlike the conventional method, which processes material by irradiating a laser point by point, the core technology involves simultaneously irradiating a laser across an entire designated area, thereby dramatically reducing manufacturing time. By combining high-power diode lasers with specialized optical solutions, the company aims to increase productivity by up to 10 times or more compared to existing equipment in the same class. Leveraging this innovative technology, the company plans to maximize the process efficiency and cost-effectiveness of metal additive manufacturing, while also expanding the scope of 3D printing—which has traditionally been limited to prototyping—into the realm of mass-produced parts. Furthermore, by saving energy and minimizing resource waste through highly efficient processes, the company intends to align with the government’s “Korean Green Transformation (K-GX)” initiative. Jeon Geun-sik, CEO of LINCSOLUTION CO., LTD., stated “Being selected as the first ‘Leading Company in Materials, Parts, and Equipment’ within the 3D printing industry is an achievement that officially recognizes, at the national level, the metal additive manufacturing technology we have accumulated and our future growth potential,” he said. “By combining our differentiated technological capabilities with the Daejeon AM Foundry infrastructure, we will secure a leading position in the market for high-value-added, cutting-edge industrial parts and elevate the competitiveness of the domestic additive manufacturing ecosystem to the next level,” he emphasized.
Eom Ki-cheon, Chairman of the Korea Battery Industry Association (CEO of POSCO FUTURE M), emphasized that the government should introduce a direct refund system for its domestic production promotion t…
