APR Surpasses 2 Trillion Won in Cumulative Third-Quarter Revenue… Poised to Join the “3 Trillion Club”
Q3 Revenue of 773.1 Billion, Operating Profit of 160.6 Billion
'Medicube' Cumulative Sales Exceed 2 Trillion Won in the Third Quarter
Share of Sales from North America and Europe Rises from 47% to 69%
"Growth Expected to Continue, Buoyed by the Fourth-Quarter Peak Season"
[Edaily Reporter KIM EUNG-TAE ] Global beauty company APR(278470)recorded cumulative sales of 2 trillion won for the first three quarters of this year, surpassing last year’s full-year results. Analysts attribute this notable growth to expanded offline sales, particularly in the U.S. and Europe, despite the strong won. Driven by increased sales of cosmetics and beauty DEVICES, as well as the expansion into new markets, the company is projected to achieve its annual sales target of 3 trillion won this year. Revenue increased by 100.3% year-over-year, while operating profit rose by 68.9%. Cumulative revenue and operating profit for the first three quarters of this year reached 2.134 trillion won and 503.5 billion won, respectively, surpassing last year’s full-year results in just three quarters. Notably, the company set a new quarterly revenue record in the third quarter despite the relative absence of major promotional events at key global retail channels and the continued impact of a strong Korean won. APR official stated, “Amid steadily rising product sales in the global market, the expansion of online sales and offline distribution networks—particularly in the U.S. and Europe—has driven the growth of our overseas business.” The cosmetics brand “MediCube” showed particularly strong growth. By the third quarter of this year, sales for the single MediCube brand had surpassed 2 trillion won. Overseas sales in the third quarter of this year reached 722.9 billion won, a 135% increase compared to the same period last year. The share of overseas sales in total revenue also rose to 94%. In particular, the combined sales share of North America and Europe expanded significantly, rising from 47% in the third quarter of last year to 69% in the third quarter of this year. With North America accounting for 46% of total revenue and Europe for 23%, these two regions have established themselves as the core markets driving APR’s global growth.Photo: APR In North America, while continuing to achieve strong results on major online channels such as Amazon and TikTok Shop, the company is expanding its offline distribution network. This year, sales channels have expanded primarily through major local retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Costco, and with plans to enter approximately 3,000 CVS Pharmacy locations in the U.S. by the end of the year, the company’s consumer touchpoints in North America are expected to grow even further. Buoyed by strong sales, the company is expected to comfortably join the “3 trillion club.” APR plans to capitalize on year-end demand by expanding its online and offline sales channels ahead of global peak shopping seasons such as Black Friday and Christmas, and by offering products and promotions tailored to local consumer demand. An APR official stated, “Even in the third quarter, which saw a relative lack of major events across key global channels and continued strength in the Korean won, we set a new quarterly sales record and maintained the growth momentum of our global business,” adding, “In the fourth quarter, we expect sales to continue expanding in key markets as we enter the peak global shopping season.”
