[Edaily Reporter Ham Ji-Hyun ] DaewooEngineering&Construction ( DaewooEngineering&Construction(047040)) announced on the 3rd that it has been selected as the general contractor for the Uijeongbu Ganeung District 4 Redevelopment Project and the Seoul Seongsan Moa Town District 4 Project. The total construction cost for the two projects amounts to approximately 715.3 billion won. With this, DaewooEngineering&Construction has surpassed 5 trillion won in cumulative orders for urban renewal projects this year.

According to DaewooEngineering&Construction, the Uijeongbu Ganeung District 4 Redevelopment Project involves the construction of a residential complex comprising 10 buildings—ranging from 2 basement levels to 39 stories above ground—with a total of 1,368 units in the Ganeung-dong area of Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province. The total construction cost is 464.7 billion won. DaewooEngineering&Construction proposed the complex name “Prugio Artiv (PRUGIO ARTIV)” for this project. The name embodies the concept of bringing four aspects of residential art—exterior design, landscaping, community spaces, and interior design—into everyday life.

The complex’s exterior will feature a curtain wall design, Prugio’s iconic sidewall design, and distinctive entrance pillars to create a landmark-style appearance. For the landscaping, the company plans to create a central plaza approximately twice the size of the association’s original proposal and has planned community facilities including a fitness club, golf club, sauna, and table tennis court. The Gae-neung-dong area is transforming into a new residential belt comprising approximately 8,700 households through urban renewal projects, and there are also high expectations for the GTX-C line and the nearby Camp Red Cloud development.

Seoul Seongsan Moa Town District 4 is a project to develop apartment complexes and supporting facilities comprising seven buildings ranging from four basement levels to 29 stories above ground, totaling 685 units, in the Seongsan-dong area of Mapo-gu. The total construction cost is 250.6 billion won. DaewooEngineering&Construction has proposed “Mapo Prugio Honors Royal” as the complex’s name.

DaewooEngineering&Construction plans to develop the complex into a flagship residential community for the area by applying Prugio’s specialized design elements, including exterior architecture, landscaping, community spaces, and interior systems. Notably, having secured construction rights for Zones 1, 3, and now Zone 4 of Seongsan Moa Town, the company is set to create a Prugio-branded town comprising over 2,000 households in the area.

Seongsan Moa Town Zone 4 is located within the catchment area of Mapo-gu Office Station on Line 6 and offers excellent access to both the city center and outlying areas via Gangbyeonbuk-ro, Olympic-daero, and the Inner Ring Road. In addition to daily living infrastructure such as the World Cup Stadium, Homeplus, the Mapo Agricultural and Fisheries Market, Megabox, and the Mapo District Office, the area is also adjacent to green spaces including Maebongsan Mountain, Bulgwangcheon Stream, Hongjecheon Stream, Sky Park, Nanji Stream Park, and Sangam Neighborhood Park.

DaewooEngineering&Construction is actively pursuing an expansion of its urban renewal project orders this year. The company has currently been selected as the preferred bidder for Mok-dong District 8 and the Hwarang Apartments in Yeouido, and projects such as the Sinwol Municipal Housing reconstruction project and the GTX Geumjeong Station Area Zone 1 redevelopment project are also considered key targets for securing new contracts. To date, the cumulative value of urban renewal project orders stands at 5.0673 trillion won.
