[Edaily Reporter Lee So-Hyun ] It was found that 45% of users who created websites using Cafe24’s “AI Website Builder” ( Cafe24 Corp.(042000)) launched their sites on the same day they signed up. The proportion of users who launched their sites within three days of signing up reached 72%.

Cafe24 Corp. announced on the 4th that these findings emerged from an analysis of usage data for its AI Website Builder—launched last May—over the six-month period from May to October.

The AI Website Builder is a service that allows business owners to create and edit website layouts, images, and text by conversing with artificial intelligence (AI). It also supports functions necessary for business operations, such as reservations, payments, and member management.

45% Launched on Sign-up Day… 72% Within 3 Days

The analysis showed that 45% of users who actually launched a website did so on the day they signed up. The proportion of users who launched a site within three days of signing up was 72%.

Users who launched a website also showed a clear tendency to refine their final product through repeated conversations with the AI.

Users who launched a website in the past month exchanged an average of 115.5 conversations with the AI. This is approximately seven times more than users who did not launch a website.

The process works as follows: after a business owner enters their industry and basic information, the AI creates a draft of the website; the owner then completes the site by making requests in natural language—such as revising text, changing the layout, or adding features.

For example, users can make requests such as, “Please design the home screen so that first-time visitors can understand the strengths of our service at a glance,” or “Please arrange the buttons and instructions so that customers who read the service description can make a reservation immediately.”

Professional services, such as hospitals and law firms, accounted for the largest share at 44%

By industry, professional services—such as hospitals, law firms, and tax and accounting firms—accounted for the largest share at 44% of the total.

This was followed by lifestyle services—such as beauty salons and Pilates studios—at 19%; education—including academies and tutoring centers—at 11%; and travel and lodging—such as vacation rentals and guesthouses—at 10%.

Cafe24 Corp. analyzed that the AI website builder is being actively utilized by businesses that need a website to provide business information and connect with customers for consultations and reservations.

A representative from DataSecure, a data security solutions company operating a website via the AI website builder, said, “Unlike traditional outsourced development, the initial cost burden has been reduced, and it’s easier to manage because we can discuss necessary changes with the AI and implement them in real time.”

Kim Jae-eun, General Manager of the Biz Platform Team at Cafe24 Corp., said, “In the six months since launch, we’ve observed small business owners and the self-employed using AI to quickly set up websites and refine them to their desired specifications through conversation,” adding, “We will continue to enhance the features so that users can start and operate online businesses without specialized development knowledge.”
