[Edaily Reporter Gim Ga Yeong ] Young-soo (real name Choi Jeong-hyun), a contestant on the 32nd season of “Contract Marriage,” apologized for secretly filming fellow contestant Guk-hwa (real name Jeong Min-hyun).

On the 32nd, Young-soo from Season 32 posted on his social media, saying, “I sincerely apologize to Min-hyun,” and added, “I acknowledged my mistake and apologized at the time of the filming, but I still feel nothing but remorse, so I have apologized once again.”
He continued, “Even if I had no malicious intent, it was my indisputable mistake to have failed to exercise the basic courtesy of first seeking the other person’s consent while sharing a living space,” adding, “The camera was placed in the common living room, and my intention was to compile everyday moments not captured by the broadcast cameras, edit them into a commemorative video after filming ended, and present it as a surprise gift. However, regardless of my intentions, I failed to fully appreciate that the very act of recording daily life without the other person’s knowledge could be uncomfortable and hurtful,” he reflected.
He added, “Facing this criticism, I am once again realizing just how thoughtless I was,” and said, “From now on, in any relationship, I will make sure to ask for and respect the other person’s wishes first.”
Finally, he said, “I would like to once again sincerely apologize to Min-hyun (Guk-hwa), and I also extend my apologies to the viewers who may have felt uncomfortable.”
“Contract Marriage” is an observational reality show that simulates marriage, in which men and women who wish to marry experience married life in advance through a contract, confirming the meaning of marriage and the realities of partnership in the process.
Young-soo from Season 32 is currently living a virtual married life with Gukhwa from “Na Sol Sa Gye.” However, controversy arose during the last episode when footage aired showing Young-soo secretly filming their married life with his own camera. He had been recording their daily life with his personal camera, rather than the cameras installed by the production team.
When Guk-hwa expressed her displeasure at being filmed without her consent, Season 32’s Young-soo sparked further controversy by remarking, “You’re being too sensitive.” Ultimately, Young-soo deleted the footage stored on the memory card and apologized.
