Wide Company, led by Lee Hyun-do, announced on the 4th that it has begun accepting pre-orders for a limited-edition vinyl version of DEUX’s fourth studio album via the group’s official website.
DEUX is a group formed by Lee Hyun-do and the late Kim Sung-jae. Active from 1993 to 1995, they produced numerous hit songs, including “Look at Me,” “We Are,” “Inside the Summer,” and “Break Free from the Shackles.”
Kim Sung-jae passed away under mysterious circumstances in November 1995. The fourth album was completed by incorporating Kim Sung-jae’s voice, recreated using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Lee Hyun-do personally handled the production.
Previously, the new songs “Rise” and “Another Day” were released as pre-release tracks for the fourth album in November of last year and April of this year, respectively. Lee Hyun-do added further significance to the project by announcing his intention to share a portion of the neighboring rights royalties from the pre-release tracks with Kim Sung-jae’s family.
Ahead of the album’s release, Lee Hyun-do plans to host a pre-listening party for DEUS’s fourth album on the 7th at 5:30 p.m. at the Bolero Club in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where fans will get a sneak peek at the tracks. Dynamic Duo will perform at the event to celebrate the occasion. The release date for the fourth album will be announced at a later time.
