[Edaily Reporter YU JIN-HEE ] LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd.(462510), a company specializing in laser medical and cosmetic devices, is set to begin full-scale expansion of its “Drug Delivery System (DDS) + Extracellular Matrix (ECM)” convergence platform both domestically and internationally. LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd. announced on the 6th that it has obtained a manufacturing license from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its new laser medical device, “LA·INJET” (model name: FX-7000M), which is optimized for skin booster treatments.
With this approval as a starting point, LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd. plans to rapidly expand its supply network to major dermatology and plastic surgery clinics in Korea, while also making a full-scale push to secure a leading position in the global medspa market by promoting its “turnkey convergence solution,” which integrates the device with ECM biomaterials.
The RainJet, which recently received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, is a 2940 nm wavelength Er:YAG laser medical device designed based on a ultra-compact laser oscillator module independently developed by LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd. It dramatically reduces the bulky size and complex maintenance burdens associated with existing Er:YAG devices, thereby maximizing procedural convenience and space efficiency in clinical settings at hospitals and clinics. A key strength is its ability to deliver precise laser micro-channeling performance while minimizing consumable and maintenance costs.
In particular, RainJet is designed to precisely stimulate the “papillary dermis,” the core basal layer of skin regeneration. The papillary dermis is an area densely packed with key cellular tissues that govern collagen production, elastin synthesis, skin elasticity maintenance, and hydration.
RainJet uniformly forms microscopic penetration channels down to the papillary dermis while minimizing thermal damage to the epidermis. This allows for the efficient delivery of high-value skin booster ingredients—such as ECM, which has recently emerged as a major trend in the aesthetic market, as well as PDRN, HA, PN, PLLA, PCL, and highly concentrated peptides—deep into the dermis without loss, thereby maximizing the efficiency of the drug delivery system (DDS).
LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd.’s unique selling point lies not merely in supplying hardware, but in its “platform strategy” that integrates its proprietary biomaterials. The company is developing the “Dual-Layer Treatment” program—which combines RainJet’s precision channeling technology with “IO-FILL,” a human-derived allogeneic ECM skin booster officially distributed by the company—as its core protocol. This method involves using a laser to create physical pathways in the epidermis and upper dermis, followed immediately by the infusion of “IO-FILL”—which has enhanced biocompatibility through a patented natural decellularization process—to simultaneously rebuild both the surface and deeper layers of the skin.
This is significant because it establishes a high-margin “lock-in” business model in the medical field, where the initial adoption of equipment (RainJet) leads to the continuous prescription and repeat purchase of consumables and treatment materials (IO-FILL).
The company plans to aggressively boost its initial prescription market share by strengthening clinical data-driven academic marketing and hands-on training for key opinion leaders (KOLs), focusing on major specialized medical institutions such as dermatology and plastic surgery clinics in Korea.
The pace of its global market expansion is also accelerating. LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd. has successfully completed the safety and performance verification tests required for RainJet to obtain regulatory approvals in major overseas markets. Based on this, the company plans to immediately begin the approval process with medical device regulatory authorities in major developed markets, including the U.S., Europe, and Australia. As certifications are obtained in each country, the company plans to partner with major local distribution partners to expand its supply chain not only to general clinics but also to rapidly growing global “medispa” service chains.
Choi Jong-seok, CEO of LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd., “RainJet’s acquisition of product approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the completion of global certification testing mark a significant milestone for LAMEDITECH Co., Ltd.’s laser technology as it leaps to become a core mainstream player in the domestic and international medical aesthetics markets,” he emphasized. “While rapidly expanding supply to domestic medical institutions, we will translate the high demand in the global medispa market into tangible sales growth and a quantum leap in performance through overseas approvals and the establishment of a global distribution network.”
