[Edaily Reporter Park Jeong-soo] #The K-Smart Lighthouse Factory development project led by Sambo A&T, in which Uirobotics participated as a supplier, has been deemed a success in the government’s final evaluation. According to Yooil Robotics on the 4th, this project is a smart factory advancement initiative aimed at Sambo A&T, an automotive parts manufacturer. It focuses on the company’s production, injection molding, and assembly processes to establish logistics automation, optimized production planning, real-time factory monitoring, manufacturing data collection, and an AI-based quality prediction system. The project ran for approximately four years, from July 2022 to May of this year, with Yool Robotics and Willdo participating as suppliers. Leveraging its capabilities in industrial robots and smart factory implementation, Yool Robotics was responsible for logistics automation, real-time monitoring, manufacturing data collection, and the development of an AI-based quality prediction system. Key areas of implementation included: △ an AI-based quality prediction system, △ an FMR-based logistics automation system, △ an Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) system for delivery schedule optimization, △ an injection molding SCADA and CPS digital twin system, and △ an AAS-based manufacturing raw data collection system. In particular, the company established a logistics automation system integrating FMR, AMR, and WMS to support the streamlining of the logistics flow from raw material input to product shipment. Additionally, it created an environment for integrated monitoring of equipment, process, and quality data through SCADA and CPS-based real-time control systems. The company explained that it enabled the collection and integration of manufacturing data generated by injection molding machines, peripheral equipment, AMRs, MES, and ERP systems in a standardized manner through the AAS-based data collection framework. It also established an AI-based injection molding defect prediction system to analyze potential quality issues in advance. According to the final evaluation report, a total of 149 application modules were built and operated during the project period. These included MES improvements and data interface development, as well as injection molding SCADA/CPS, a manufacturing data collection system, logistics automation, AI-based injection molding defect prediction, and a production planning optimization system. Unirobotics assessed that through this project, it successfully applied industrial robots, logistics automation, digital twin monitoring, manufacturing data collection, and AI quality prediction technologies to actual automotive parts production sites. A company official stated, "We plan to continue expanding our capabilities as a smart manufacturing solutions provider that enhances productivity and quality competitiveness on the manufacturing floor by combining industrial robots with smart factory technologies."
