The “Korea’s Top Job Creation Companies” program selects companies through a comprehensive evaluation of their efforts to improve job quality—including job creation, improvement of working conditions, work-life balance, and employment stability—with 100 companies nationwide selected this year. Selected companies receive various benefits, such as preferential loan interest rates and credit ratings from financial institutions, bonus points in government procurement, and priority funding for the purchase of facilities and equipment to prevent workplace accidents.

BukwangPharmaceutical was selected as a “Top Job Creation Company in Korea” this year, receiving high praise for operating various programs that support work-life balance for its employees.

Having introduced a flexible work schedule system in 2024 that allows employees to choose their start times based on individual circumstances, BukwangPharmaceutical established a time-based annual leave system last year, enabling employees to freely take time off as needed.

BukwangPharmaceutical explains that this allows employees to respond more flexibly to various situations that arise in daily life, such as medical appointments or childcare. It is also fostering a work environment that supports work-life balance by enhancing the convenience of taking leave and increasing job satisfaction among employees.

BukwangPharmaceutical is also strengthening its programs to encourage long-term service. For example, it has expanded its long-service award system by adding 5- and 15-year milestones to the existing 10- and 20-year awards, creating a structure that recognizes service in five-year increments.
