[Edaily Reporter Lee So-Hyun ] Kakao(035720)has added external partner services to “Kakao Tools,” an AI agent service available within “ChatGPT for Kakao.”

The company plans to expand its agentic AI ecosystem by connecting AI with everyday services—such as gaming, spaces, lifestyle, finance, travel, and shopping—so that users can access a variety of features simply through conversation.

Kakao announced on the 11th that it has added seven partner services to Kakao Tools within ChatGPT for Kakao.

The newly added partners are Daiso Mall, Luxru, SpaceCloud, Shinsegae Co.,Ltd Duty Free, Shinhan Card, LF Mall, and Cheongyeon. Including previously integrated partners OP.GG, Zikbang, and HANATOUR SERVICE, the total number of external partners on Kakao Tools has now increased to 10.

Kakao Tools is an Agent AI service that integrates with various services both within and outside of Kakao. Users can access these integrated partner services through conversations in the ChatGPT for Kakao chat window. Since expanding and revamping Kakao Tools last March, Kakao has been collaborating with external partners to increase touchpoints for AI usage in everyday life.

Expanding to Shopping, Finance, and Travel

With these new integrations, the range of service categories available through Kakao Tools has expanded.

In the gaming sector, OP.GG has joined; in the real estate sector, SpaceCloud and Zikbang are now integrated. In the lifestyle sector, Cheongyeon is available; in the finance sector, Shinhan Card; and in the travel sector, HANATOUR SERVICE can be utilized.

In the shopping sector, Daiso Mall, Luxru, Shinsegae Co.,Ltd Duty Free, and LF Mall have joined the platform. Kakao plans to expand the range of partner services to enhance the usability of Kakao Tools, recognizing that users’ interests and lifestyle needs are diverse.

Kakao plans to continue collaborating with partners who possess expertise in their respective fields to further refine Kakao Tools. The company explains that it will expand the points of connection between partner services and AI so that users can experience the convenience of AI in their daily lives.

Developer tool services will also be added

Tool services created by general developers are also scheduled to be added to Kakao Tools in stages.

Kakao will unveil the services that advanced to the finals of the “AGENTIC PLAYER 10” Kakao Tools development contest—based on “PlayMCP” and launched last June—through the “Tool Challenge” menu starting on the 16th.

This includes the 20 services that passed the preliminary round of the contest and received Daesang. Users can try out the tools created by developers directly through this menu.

Currently, a total of 28 services—including those from Kakao, its affiliates, and partner companies—are integrated with Kakao Tools. Kakao plans to expand both its external partner and general developer services to broaden the range of AI tools available to users.

Yoo Yong-ha, Performance Leader at Kakao AI Connect, stated, “Through this second collaboration, the scope of applications for Kakao Tools has expanded to include everything from game content to spatial, lifestyle, finance, travel, and shopping.” He added, “We will continue to work closely with various partners to expand everyday AI experiences that align with users’ needs and interests.”
