[Edaily Reporter Park Soon-yeop] #NH Investment & Securities is transitioning from a single CEO system to a co-CEO system and has recommended Shin Jae-wook, Head of the Real Estate & Infrastructure Business Division, and Bae Kwang-soo, Head of the Wealth Management (WM) Business Division, as candidates for the next CEOs. The move aims to strengthen expertise and responsible management across business divisions, leveraging the launch of the Integrated Management Account (IMA) business. According to NH Investment & Securities on the 12th, the company’s Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee has recommended Shin Jae-wook and Bae Kwang-soo as the final candidates for CEO under the upcoming co-CEO system. NH Investment & Securities plans to proceed with the CEO appointment process at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on the 30th, following approval by an extraordinary board of directors. Having secured a foundation for its IMA business this year, the company has been pushing for a management restructuring to respond more swiftly to business expansion and changes in the market environment, as well as to enhance expertise in each business division. Shin Jae-wook has been nominated as a candidate for CEO overseeing the Investment Banking, Asset Management, Wholesale, and Corporate Management divisions. Shin is recognized as a corporate finance expert who has accumulated experience in NH Investment & Securities’ core business sectors. The Nomination Committee determined that Shin is the right person to lead the company’s mid- to long-term growth strategies, including expanding the IMA business, identifying new growth engines, and diversifying revenue sources. Candidate Bae Kwang-soo has been recommended as a candidate for CEO in charge of the Wealth Management (WM), Digital, Channels, and Research divisions. Candidate Bae is a wealth management expert who has led efforts to expand the customer base and strengthen sales competitiveness in the retail sector. The Nomination Committee believes that Candidate Bae can drive qualitative growth in the retail sector by enhancing wealth management competitiveness, advancing a customer-centric WM system, and innovating sales through digital platforms. NH Investment & Securities plans to continue operating the Strategic Resource Allocation Committee even after transitioning to a dual CEO system to enhance synergy among business divisions as an IMA operator. The company’s policy is to manage key management decisions—such as major investments and capital utilization—integrated from a company-wide perspective, while clearly defining roles and responsibilities for matters requiring inter-divisional collaboration. An NH Investment & Securities official stated, “At a time when the company is entering a new phase of growth, including the promotion of the IMA business, we decided to transition to a co-CEO system to enhance expertise in each business division and strengthen responsible management.” The official added, “We expect CEOs Shin Jae-wook and Bae Kwang-soo to strengthen business competitiveness and lead the company’s sustainable growth based on their respective expertise and experience.”
