According to MP Doctor on the 26th, SIMMTECH Co., Ltd.’s stock is trading at 136,300 won as of 9:18 a.m., up 8.00% from the previous trading day.
Previously, the Financial Services Commission announced that it had convened a meeting of the National Growth Fund’s Fund Management Deliberation Committee the previous day and approved investment and loan support for the Yeongyang onshore wind power project, LS Cable & Solution, and SIMMTECH Co., Ltd. This support marks the first investment under the “Energy Infrastructure Development” megaproject selected by the National Growth Fund’s Strategy Committee last April.
The National Growth Fund has decided to provide 20 billion won in support to SIMMTECH Co., Ltd., a semiconductor package substrate manufacturer with production facilities in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province. SIMMTECH Co., Ltd. plans to invest a total of 40 billion won to expand its production facilities for package substrates used in next-generation memory semiconductors.
SIMMTECH Co., Ltd. supplies semiconductor package substrates to companies such as SamsungElectronics, SK hynix, and Micron Technology in the U.S. The Financial Services Commission expects this move to help strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic supply chain for core semiconductor components in response to growing demand for high-performance memory for AI servers.
