[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] Aroot Co., Ltd.(096690) Subsidiary NSRC announced on the 29th that it has signed a $1.4 million technical services contract with a Chinese semiconductor manufacturer for high-resolution lithography equipment used in advanced process technologies. A key feature of this contract is that it extends beyond the standard equipment debugging to include installation and process testing. NSRC plans to provide technical services covering the entire process—from debugging to installation and process testing—for high-resolution lithography equipment capable of handling advanced processes. The company explained that it is expanding its business portfolio, which focuses on high-value-added equipment for advanced processes, and increasing its order intake in the global market. It noted that it is enhancing profitability by expanding its business beyond simple equipment sales and transfers to include technical services such as equipment disassembly, assembly, and installation. In addition to this contract, NSRC carried out five specialized technical service projects related to high-resolution lithography equipment in Taiwan and Japan during the first half of this year and is set to secure at least four additional orders in the second half. The company also completed delivery this month of $2.95 million worth of refurbished i-line lithography equipment, an order received last year from a major semiconductor fab in Taiwan. The company explained that it demonstrated its turnkey capabilities by optimizing the equipment’s performance to meet semiconductor production process requirements and handling the entire process, including on-site installation and setup. A company official stated, “Successfully completing the delivery of lithography equipment to a Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer and signing a new technical service contract with a Chinese semiconductor company are results of our overseas project management capabilities and microprocess equipment technology being recognized in the global market,” adding, “With new orders and product deliveries continuing, we are expecting earnings growth this year as well.” The spokesperson continued, “As orders for high-value-added technical services continue to increase, we plan to secure customer-tailored high-resolution equipment while simultaneously providing technology-based operational services,” adding, “We will expand our market share in the global semiconductor equipment market and accelerate earnings growth.”
