[E-Daily Reporter Kim Ji-woo ] CJ LOGISTICS(000120)announced on the 14th that it has introduced AI-powered electrocardiogram (ECG) screening as part of its on-site health checkups for delivery drivers. The initiative aims to improve the accuracy of health management by detecting high-risk groups for heart disease at an early stage—cases that were previously difficult to identify through conventional screening methods.

The on-site mobile health screenings are conducted by specialized screening agencies that visit approximately 300 parcel sub-terminals nationwide. The screenings will continue through the end of August. The screening package consists of about 60 basic items, including tests for cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases, blood tests, hypertension, and liver cancer. It also includes rheumatology tests to diagnose arthritis and C-reactive protein (CRP) tests to check for infections such as the common cold and pneumonia.

Starting this year, the program has added an AI-powered electrocardiogram (ECG) screening that analyzes four major heart conditions: arrhythmia, heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, and valvular heart disease. This system uses AI trained on over 20 million ECG data points and waveforms to analyze ECG results and identify disease risks.

According to CJ LOGISTICS, during the AI interpretation process, 35 out of 1,361 individuals who had previously been classified as normal in standard tests were additionally identified as high-risk.

Since introducing the health screening program for delivery drivers in 2013, CJ LOGISTICS has been fully covering the cost of these screenings for 14 consecutive years, including this year. The company operates an on-site screening program so that delivery drivers can undergo examinations without having to visit a hospital separately, and has arranged for screenings at partner hospitals even on weekends and at night.

A CJ LOGISTICS official stated, “Last year’s satisfaction survey on health checkups for delivery drivers yielded a score of 4.61 out of 5, and the participation rate reached 82 percent,” adding, “We will continue to strive to create an environment where delivery drivers can work more healthily and safely.”
