It is reported that the company is currently in the process of selecting a lead advisor through a competitive bidding process.
The Anseong plant is the facility that produces products under AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION’s flagship health supplement brand, “Vital Beauty.” Products such as Super Collagen, Meta Green, and Myeongjaksu are manufactured there. As of last year, the Anseong plant’s production capacity was valued at 204.7 billion won.
The Anseong Plant was completed in 1989 during the Taepyeongyang Pharmaceutical era. AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION established an additional healthcare production facility within the plant in 2014. Subsequently, in 2021, following a merger with Estra—which had changed its name from Taepyeongyang Pharmaceutical—the company incorporated the Anseong Plant into its healthcare and beauty product production operations.
Following the sale of the Anseong plant, AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION plans to produce dietary supplements at its Osan plant. Currently, the Osan plant manufactures AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION’s major cosmetic brands, such as Sulwhasoo and Laneige.
The company plans to concentrate its cosmetics and dietary supplement production capabilities at the Osan plant to improve the efficiency of facility operations and production management.
An AMOREPACIFIC CORPORATION official stated, “We are proceeding with the sale of the Anseong plant to ensure efficient asset management.”
