[E-Daily Reporter kim mi-kyung ] HITEJINRO Group has adopted “integrity-based management,” which prioritizes laws and principles, as its core management principle and has set out to strengthen its transparency management system. The plan is to establish a transparent management system by emphasizing compliance with fair trade laws and regulations while strengthening prior controls over transactions with related parties.

#HITEJINRO Group announced on the 6th that it held a “Declaration Ceremony for Integrity-Based Management” on the 5th at its Seocho headquarters in Seoul, attended by key executives and representatives of its affiliates. This event was organized to communicate the group’s commitment to adhering to laws and principles both internally and externally, and to establish a transparent and fair corporate culture throughout the group based on leadership by example.

The event was attended by HITEJINRO CEO Jang In-seop, key executives, and representatives from each subsidiary. After sharing the purpose of promoting ethical management, the event proceeded with the reading of the “Declaration on Ethical Management” and a signing ceremony by the CEOs of each subsidiary. The declaration outlined five core principles: △ compliance with laws and principles; △ fair and transparent business practices; △ respect for all stakeholders; △ prevention of illegal and improper conduct and accountability; and △ leadership by example from management.

In particular, the company resolved to strictly comply with fair trade laws and regulations—including those governing related-party transactions—and to further strengthen prior controls over transactions with related parties. Through these measures, the company aims to preemptively prevent illegal and improper conduct and enhance the transparency of management decision-making.

HITEJINRO Group plans to apply these five guiding principles as the fundamental standards of conduct to all business activities across its subsidiaries. The Group aims to establish a fair and transparent corporate culture throughout the organization by publishing the declaration on its website and conducting regular compliance reviews.

On the 5th, HITEJINRO Group held an “Ethical Management Proclamation Ceremony” at the HITEJINRO Seocho Headquarters, attended by key executives of HITEJINRO and representatives from each subsidiary.

Jang In-seop, CEO of HITEJINRO, stated, “For HITEJINRO, which has passed its 100th anniversary and is preparing for the next 100 years, sustainable management is not an option but the core of our corporate competitiveness,” and reaffirmed his commitment, saying, “We will continue to further advance our ESG management and grow steadily as a company trusted by various stakeholders and society.”

This declaration ceremony is part of HITEJINRO’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ESG governance and compliance management. Previously, in July, HITEJINRO reorganized its ESG governance structure and transformed the ESG Committee into a body composed entirely of independent directors. The company also strengthened internal controls by enhancing the committee’s independence and expanding the scope of prior review for transactions with related parties. In October, the company further advanced its compliance management system by obtaining certification for “ISO 37301,” the international standard for compliance management systems.
