#LotteChilsungBeverage announced on the 29th that it had introduced a cumulative total of 1,015 electric vehicles as of July this year. This accounts for approximately 42% of its total vehicle fleet. Excluding certain specialized vehicles and large trucks that are difficult to convert to electric, the company has replaced more than half of its eligible vehicles with electric models.

By vehicle type, light passenger cars used for sales and business purposes accounted for the largest share at 710 units. The company currently operates about 130 passenger cars. As a result of expanding the transition to eco-friendly mobility at production and logistics sites, the company has introduced approximately 110 electric forklifts and about 60 electric 1-metric-ton (t) trucks.
Since 2021, LotteChilsungBeverage has been accelerating its transition to an eco-friendly logistics system by gradually replacing aging internal combustion engine vehicles with electric vehicles and establishing charging infrastructure at major logistics hubs nationwide. Through these efforts, the company aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated during vehicle operation while enhancing its resilience to fluctuations in the global energy supply chain, thereby strengthening operational efficiency and sustainable competitiveness.
Tangible results of this transition are already evident. LotteChilsungBeverage reduced greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 550 metric tons last year, and this year’s reduction is projected to reach about 970 metric tons—an increase of more than 75% compared to the previous year. Additionally, the company explained that by simultaneously improving energy efficiency in its production processes, it reduced greenhouse gas emissions by a total of 6,400 metric tons last year alone.
A LotteChilsungBeverage official stated, “We are effectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions generated during vehicle operation by replacing aging internal combustion engine vehicles with electric vehicles,” adding, “Moving forward, as a leading beverage company, we will fulfill our social responsibility toward the environment and continue to lead the way in sincere ESG management.”
Meanwhile, LotteChilsungBeverage ranked first among domestic listed companies in achievement rate under the government’s “Eco-Friendly Vehicle Purchase Target System” last year and received the Minister of Climate, Energy, and Environment Daesang at the “2025 Korea Energy Awards.” LotteChilsungBeverage’s ESG Slogan
