[Edaily Reporter KIM AH-REUM ] HANSSEM CO.,LTD.(009240), a comprehensive home interior specialist, posted surprisingly strong results for the second quarter of this year.

HANSSEM CO.,LTD. announced on the 10th through a preliminary consolidated earnings release that it recorded sales of 417.2 billion won and an operating profit of 11.3 billion won, marking its 13th consecutive quarter of profitability.

HANSSEM CO.,LTD. has expanded its market dominance by strengthening the competitiveness of its B2C products and enhancing its unique brand value. As a result, even in the second quarter—traditionally considered the off-season for the home interior industry—the company achieved a 400% (approximately fivefold) year-over-year increase in operating profit.

In particular, sales in the Rehouse division rose 13% year-over-year, following growth in the first quarter, driving the overall improvement in performance. The company explained that core product categories—such as kitchens, bathrooms, and storage solutions—which have seen continuous enhancements in quality and expertise, performed well amid rising demand for apartment sales and renovation projects. HANSSEM CO.,LTD. plans to maintain its growth momentum in the second half of the year by consistently implementing its proven core strategies—including △strengthening product competitiveness with a focus on high-end grades, △refining distribution and channel strategies, and △continuously enhancing brand value while conducting marketing centered on core products—despite persistent external uncertainties such as the housing market outlook and rising raw material and freight costs.

The home furnishings division is also posting strong results, driven primarily by high-end products. Sales of the “Signature” storage furniture line increased by 12% year-over-year in the second quarter, and the “Swive The Master” sofa series—which includes the “Swive The Master”—recorded 46% year-over-year growth in the second quarter after its superior quality was recognized following 20,000 hardware tests conducted at a KOLAS-certified laboratory.

The online home furnishing channel posted remarkable growth in the second quarter, driven primarily by HANSSEM CO.,LTD. Mall and market-leading platforms. To continuously strengthen the unique competitive edge of its own platform, HANSSEM CO.,LTD. boldly reorganized HANSSEM CO.,LTD. Mall around its private label (PB) products and enhanced the ease of navigation so that customers can easily access information on high-end offline products as well. As a result, HANSSEM CO.,LTD. Mall’s sales increased by 20% in the first half of this year compared to the same

HANSSEM CO.,LTD. official stated, “Despite a challenging market environment marked by uncertainty in the housing market and increases in raw material and freight costs, we achieved 13 consecutive quarters of profitability and a fivefold increase in operating profit compared to the same period last year by focusing on healthy structural improvements that strengthen our fundamental competitiveness, rather than relying on short-term cost cuts,” adding “Although external risks will persist in the second half of the year, we will consistently pursue strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of our core products—which have proven their performance—enhance the customer experience through our distribution channels, and elevate brand value while focusing marketing efforts on key products, thereby solidifying our position as an industry leader,” the spokesperson added.
