The convenience store top-up service utilizes real-time prepaid payment technology, and the launch of this service is intended to expand the infrastructure for international money transfers and payments.

Centbee users can top up their wallets with cash at convenience stores nationwide without having to visit a bank. When users select “Convenience Store Top-up” as a payment method in the Centbee app, a dedicated barcode is generated; they then present this barcode at a convenience store, pay with cash, and the funds are credited to their wallet in real time.

This is expected to improve the convenience of international money transfers for office workers who find it difficult to use financial services during bank hours, as well as for foreign workers and international students who face limitations in accessing domestic financial services.

GalaxiaMoneytree Co.,Ltd. is expanding its payment infrastructure that connects international money transfer providers with convenience stores, leveraging its convenience store network and real-time prepaid payment technology. Since partnering with G-Money Trans in 2020, the company has formed alliances with other international money transfer providers, including Global Money Express, HANPASS CO.,Ltd., PinShot, Cross ENF, and U-FinTech Hub.

With Centbee’s addition, the total number of small-amount international money transfer providers that can utilize GalaxiaMoneytree Co.,Ltd.’s convenience store recharge service has increased to seven.

The business-to-business (B2B) segment of the international money transfer market is also growing. According to GalaxiaMoneytree Co.,Ltd., revenue from its B2B international money transfer agency service in the first half of this year increased by 71.5% compared to the same period last year.
