The newly developed RCS is core software that provides integrated control over all aspects of robot operations, ranging from task assignment to path planning, traffic control, status monitoring, and integration with higher-level systems. Based on AI, it efficiently assigns tasks to individual robots and generates optimal paths, supporting stable robot operations even in manufacturing sites where hundreds of robots operate simultaneously.
With the recent acceleration of automation and the shift to robotics in manufacturing and logistics facilities, the adoption of various types of mobile robots, such as AMRs and AGVs, is expanding. However, since manufacturers in the field use different control systems, operating multiple robots has posed challenges in terms of system integration, operational efficiency, and costs.
Based on the field operational experience accumulated through large-scale mobile robot supplies to domestic and international clients, COWINTECH Co., Ltd designed RCS to enable the integrated operation of heterogeneous robots on a single platform. With recent expansion of robot supplies to high-tech manufacturing sectors—including HyundaiMotor—and new orders exceeding 100 billion won in the first half of this year, the company is accelerating the advancement of its integrated control technology to support the growth of its robotics business.
Notably, while most domestic robot manufacturers rely on foreign-made control software, COWINTECH Co., Ltd has developed its own RCS, thereby internalizing not only robot hardware but also core software. Consequently, the company expects to improve the profitability of its robotics business by reducing dependence on external software while cutting license and maintenance costs that rise with increased robot supply.

Meanwhile, as COWINTECH Co., Ltd. cultivates its robotics business as a new growth engine and expands its business scope to become an integrated intelligent robotics platform company, it is preparing to change its corporate name to “Cowin Robotics.”
