Covering Korea and the Global Market, Apps and the Web, and Stablecoins
[Edaily An Yu-ri Reporter] OneStore, an app marketplace offering a variety of mobile content such as games and apps, announced on the 31st that it has officially launched “OneStore Global” and “OneShop,” a D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) payment platform, in global markets.
OneStore Global is launching simultaneously in 122 countries worldwide, including North America, Central and South America, and Asia. At launch, it has secured over 1,000 titles, and users are expected to find a wide range of content—including AI- and blockchain-based titles—that have not been available on other app stores.
A key feature of OneStore Global is that it serves as a dedicated distribution channel for AI and blockchain games. While other app stores apply separate review criteria and policies to apps that incorporate virtual assets or tokens, OneStore Global not only applies the same content review standards across the board but also places no restrictions on the types of blockchain or wallets used.
The goal is to establish itself as a mobile channel that fully accommodates the numerous blockchain games released in the global market. Developers can launch simultaneously in 122 countries with a single global build, thereby reducing the development and operational burdens associated with country-specific adjustments.
“AI Games,” a collection of games created using AI, will also be introduced to global users in September. This service offers games created by creators using AI, allowing users to play them directly on One Store Global without having to download a separate app. The company plans to expand this service, which launched in Korea in August, to a global audience.
The launch lineup includes “Frost Kingdom,” which recently topped the popularity charts on both of Korea’s major app stores.
Users can make payments using the payment methods accepted in each market. The platform supports credit cards and other payment methods tailored to each market, allowing users to make purchases immediately without any payment barriers.
Launched alongside this expansion, OneShop is a D2C channel resulting from the integration of OneStore’s OneWebShop and NEXUS’s CrossShop. Following its existing launch in South Korea, the service has expanded to six additional countries—the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines—bringing the total to seven countries. By allowing game items to be sold for a commission of just 5% (excluding PG fees), the service maximizes developers’ profitability.
Developers can implement OneShop using the existing OneStore in-app payment integration specifications without the need for separate builds, and can operate both app distribution and web payments simultaneously. Along with this expansion, a new “Site Builder” feature is now available, allowing developers to directly customize the layout of their OneShop sales pages. Developers can customize product display methods, banner order, background colors, and images to their liking, allowing them to operate their D2C channels in a way that aligns with their brand identity.
Users can access OneShop through various entry points, including in-game pathways and the OneStore Global app. Beyond simply acting as a payment processor, the platform provides a seamless user journey that connects the app store to web payments.
Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Action Square Co., Ltd.(205500), stated, “Starting in Korea, OneStore has launched the world’s first AI and blockchain gaming platform in 122 countries,” adding, “We will ensure that innovations in AI and blockchain are directly integrated into our game content and platform.”
