[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] On the 1st, independent research firm Value Finder released a report on Nuriplan Co., Ltd(069140), noting that while the order backlog for the plant and construction division of its subsidiary, UNISON CO., LTD., has reached a record high, the company’s transition into an energy infrastructure firm focused on nuclear power, LNG, and data centers is accelerating.

According to Value Finder, Nuriplan Co., Ltd. consists of a parent company specializing in landscaping, landscape facilities, landscape lighting, and air quality equipment, and a subsidiary, UNISON CO., LTD., responsible for plant and construction.
In the first half of this year, consolidated revenue rose 10.2% year-over-year to 62.2 billion won, while operating profit fell 10.7% to 5.5 billion won. While the plant (30.1 billion won) and construction (8.1 billion won) sectors managed by UNISON CO., LTD. drove revenue growth, the parent company’s core business—landscape facilities—saw revenue drop 24.3% to 12.2 billion won, leading to a slight decline in overall operating profit. However, the company managed to defend its profitability as the loss in the lighting division was significantly reduced from 1.3 billion won to approximately 50 million won.
Earlier, in June, Chairman Lee Sang-woo presented a vision to transform the company into an energy infrastructure firm targeting nuclear power plants, LNG, and data centers, aiming to achieve 500 billion won in revenue and a double-digit operating profit margin by 2030. As of the end of July, UNISON CO., LTD.’s order backlog stood at 83.6 billion won (72.2 billion won in plant projects and 11.4 billion won in construction), marking an 18.6% increase from the first quarter of this year and setting a new all-time high. This figure accounts for more than half of the company’s total order backlog.
In addition, seismic isolation systems are expected to emerge as a new growth driver. The importance of seismic isolation technology was reaffirmed following the magnitude 7.1 earthquake that struck Kumamoto, Japan, last July, which halted operations at semiconductor production lines operated by companies such as JASM, a subsidiary of TSMC. Consequently, analysts believe that Nuriplan Co., Ltd—which boasts the largest number of project references in Korea—now has a significantly higher chance of entering the data center and semiconductor fab markets.
The parent company is also pursuing a two-pronged approach to restore its performance. The landscape facilities division has secured a total order backlog of 55.8 billion won, including a 19.1 billion won contract for the construction of an overpass and pedestrian bridge in Nowon-gu, Seoul, signed with Jaesung General Construction last February. This amount is equivalent to 1.6 times the division’s projected revenue for 2025. The company is also actively pursuing entry into the market for the repair of aging bridges using water-soluble high-polymer eco-friendly coating technology.
In the air quality sector, the company independently developed an “AI Engineering Platform” last July to automate the design of white smoke reduction equipment and has begun implementing it on-site. This system automatically calculates equipment specifications and costs (CapEx and OpEx) based solely on input of exhaust gas conditions, and the company plans to expand its application to the desulfurization, denitrification, and dust collection sectors in the future. Having already secured a reference project at a food factory in Busan where visible white smoke was reduced by over 90%, the company expects to expand its order intake in the environmental sector.
Jeon Woo-bin, a researcher at Value Finder, stated, “UNISON CO., LTD.’s order backlog has expanded for consecutive quarters, establishing itself as a core pillar responsible for more than half of the company’s total revenue,” adding, “If the adoption of seismic-isolation equipment in data centers and semiconductor fabs gains momentum, it will become a key trigger for a valuation re-rating in the future.”
