Enterprise Plans Consolidated into Two Types: “Basic” and “Plus”

Corporate Credit Limits Maintained… Pricing on Booking Screens Also Simplified
[Edaily Reporter Lee So-Hyun ] SOCAR(403550)is enhancing its membership benefits to target corporate customers who use car-sharing for business travel, such as business trips and field work. Since corporate members’ car-sharing usage is concentrated during weekday business hours, the company plans to simplify its pricing plans and implement a permanent discount structure to secure additional demand.

SOCAR, a lifetime mobility platform, announced on the 1st that it has revamped the “Business Profile” pricing plan for “SOCAR Enterprise,” its membership service for corporate customers.
SOCAR has partially consolidated its Enterprise Business Profile plans—previously offered in four types: “Basic,” “Business Discount,” “Welfare Discount,” and “Customized for Enterprises”—into two types: “Basic” and “Plus.” Instead of providing a fixed number of rental discount coupons each month, the company has revised the terms of use to allow for ongoing additional discounts.
Under the revamped Basic plan, an additional 3% discount is applied at all times on both weekdays and weekends, with no separate subscription fee. The Plus plan offers an additional 10% discount on weekdays and 3% on weekends for a subscription fee of 10,000 won per employee.
This restructuring reflects the usage patterns of corporate members. According to SOCAR, as of July this year, 86% of corporate members’ usage occurred on weekdays. Additionally, 80% of usage took place during business hours, between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The additional discount is applied on top of the individual profile discount rate when using SOCAR car-sharing via a business profile. The same discount benefits available through an individual profile also apply to business profiles, and business-exclusive additional discounts and coupons can be applied in combination. At the payment stage, the most favorable discount conditions among the various combinations are automatically applied.
The corporate card registration benefit remains in place. Even when using SOCAR car-sharing with a personal profile, registering a corporate card as the payment method grants a one-time credit of 30,000 won. Thereafter, 10% of the payment amount is accrued as credit. Business profile users can also receive 10% of their payment amount back as credit.
SOCAR Enterprise Membership is available once a company registers as a corporate member by submitting its business registration certificate on the website, after which an administrator can add employees. Following the overhaul, additional discounts will be applied year-round even to the Basic plan—which has no subscription fee—allowing startups and small and medium-sized enterprises with fewer employees to also enjoy discounts on business travel.
SOCAR revamped its Enterprise Membership in response to the steadily growing demand for business travel among corporate customers. As of the end of July this year, the number of companies enrolled in SOCAR Enterprise had increased by 45% compared to the end of 2021. During the same period, the cumulative number of users increased approximately 40-fold.
This year, the average travel distance for corporate members was 123 km, and the average usage time was approximately 14 hours. This represents a slight increase compared to the 2021 averages of 114 km and 12 hours, respectively. The most frequently used models were “The New Avante,” “The New Seltos,” and “The All-New Kona,” in that order, with these top three models accounting for more than half of the total.
Baek Ji-ye, Head of the SOCAR Enterprise Group, stated, “Thanks to our differentiated benefits and convenient usage, more than half of the corporate clients with usage records over the past year have maintained their SOCAR Enterprise membership for two consecutive years, and 16% are long-term clients who have been using the service for five consecutive years.” “To secure additional demand, we have simplified our pricing plans into two tiers while maintaining existing price points, and we’ve applied ongoing discounts so that more companies—regardless of size—can utilize SOCAR as a business transportation solution,” she said.
Meanwhile, starting today, SOCAR is also implementing a “price simplification” policy to reduce the discrepancy between the discount rate displayed on the reservation screen and the actual payment amount. This approach involves incorporating the discount rates—which have been maintained throughout the operation of the existing membership service—directly into the vehicle rental fee. The final payment amount actually paid by customers remains unchanged.
