[Edaily Starin Reporter KIM HYUNSIK ] Big Hit Music announced on the 1st that the City of Los Angeles has designated “BTS Week” to commemorate the “ARIRANG” world tour concert by the group BTS.

BTS will perform “ARIRANG” at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on the 1st–2nd and 5th–6th (all times local). To commemorate this, the City of Los Angeles has designated the period from the 1st to the 8th as “BTS Week.” On the 1st, City Hall will be illuminated in red, the key color of BTS’s fifth studio album, “ARIRANG.”
In a resolution, the Los Angeles City Council stated, “Since their debut in 2013, BTS has established itself as one of the most influential artists representing the current generation.” The council further recognized that BTS has paved the way for Korean and Asian artists in the global music industry and has helped connect people around the world by transcending language and cultural barriers through their music and performances. The City Council also highly commended BTS for spreading positive messages through initiatives such as UNICEF campaigns and speeches at the United Nations.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stated, “The proclamation of ‘BTS Week’ is rooted in the belief that art and culture have the power to foster mutual understanding and unite communities,” adding, “I am proud to honor BTS’s remarkable achievements, which have made a significant contribution to global culture, and to celebrate their special connection with Los Angeles together with people around the world.”
Los Angeles City Councilmember John Lee emphasized, “This proclamation is the city’s way of honoring the special mark BTS has left on global culture,” adding, “At the same time, it reflects our pride in commemorating the long-standing ties and cultural exchanges between Los Angeles, Korea, and the Korean American community.”
The concert will take place at SoFi Stadium. This marks BTS’s return to the venue approximately four years and nine months after their December 2021 performance, “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LA.” All four shows are sold out.
