[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] Shares of JASTECH, Ltd.(090470)are surging during trading on news that the company has signed a large-scale contract to supply automation equipment for lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes.

JAS Robotics announced today that it has signed a contract worth approximately 33.26 billion won to supply “robotic automation equipment for lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes.”

The contract value is 33.26 billion won, equivalent to 108.48% of the company’s recent revenue of 30.66105 billion won. The identity of the contracting party was not disclosed at the request of the client to protect trade secrets.

The contract period runs from the 1st of this month through August 31, 2027. Payment will be made as follows: 30% as an advance payment, 40% upon receipt of shipping documents and a performance bond, 20% upon receipt of the performance inspection report and a defect rectification bond, and 10% upon receipt of the operational inspection report.

The fact that the company secured a large-scale order exceeding its recent annual revenue is seen as having boosted investor sentiment. This supply is intended for overseas markets.
