[Berlin = E-Daily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] LGELECTRONICS will unveil an expanded artificial intelligence (AI) home ecosystem at “IFA 2026,” Europe’s largest home appliance trade show, that integrates the management of spaces both inside and outside the home by connecting home appliances, AI home hubs, and platforms.

LGELECTRONICS announced on the 3rd that it will participate in IFA 2026, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, for five days starting on the 4th. Under the theme “Innovation Tailored to You,” the company will set up a 3,745-square-meter exhibition hall and showcase approximately 150 core products.

Going beyond simply introducing the AI features of individual home appliances, this exhibition focuses on organically connecting spaces, products, and services within the home centered around the AI Home hub “LG Corp. ThinQ On” and the AI Home platform “LG Corp. ThinQ.”

The AI Home Zone is designed to resemble real-life living environments, including the living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and outdoor spaces. In the living room, ThinQ On preemptively adjusts the temperature and air quality based on the user’s expected return time and daily routines. In the kitchen, it suggests menus and cooking sequences based on available ingredients, family schedules, and dietary habits. In the bedroom and bathroom, it adjusts the air conditioner and lighting according to the user’s schedule and sleep environment, and even manages ventilation and dehumidification after a shower.

The company is also unveiling “ThinQ Clo” for the first time, featuring enhanced autonomous Agent AI capabilities. Integrated into ThinQ On, ThinQ Clo engages in conversation with users to understand their daily routines and situations, then proactively suggests and executes necessary functions. Users can control home appliances via chat even when away from home, and the system integrates with external services such as web search and calendars.

LGELECTRONICS is also prominently featuring “Homi,” a platform from AtHome, a smart home platform company acquired by LGELECTRONICS in 2024. Homi is an open platform capable of connecting more than 50,000 Internet of Things (IoT) devices, including home appliances, lighting, and sensors.

LGELECTRONICS has expanded Homi into a Home Energy Management System (HEMS) that manages the energy flow throughout the entire home by integrating it with AI appliances, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, solar power, and energy storage systems (ESS). The company also plans to utilize it as a business-to-business (B2B) solution for European multi-family housing developers and others.

In commercial spaces, the company demonstrates the integrated management of appliances, HVAC systems, and energy infrastructure all at once using the B2B integrated management solution “LG ThinQ Pro.” Approximately 46% of the total exhibition area is dedicated to consultation spaces for local distributors and B2B customers. This marks the largest private consultation space LGELECTRONICS has ever set up at IFA.

“Fit & Max” Targets Europe… Enhancing Space and Energy Efficiency

The new “Fit & Max” product line, designed for the European market, will also be unveiled for the first time in its entirety. The name combines “Fit”—referring to a design that fits perfectly into a space like built-in appliances—and “Max,” which signifies the maximization of capacity, performance, and convenience. The product line has expanded its scope beyond refrigerators to include washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers.

The refrigerators feature “Zero Clearance Hinges,” which allow the door to open up to 110 degrees even when installed flush against cabinetry. The washers and dryers maintain the European standard cabinet depth of 600 mm while ensuring ample internal capacity. Space efficiency has also been enhanced through the Wash Tower and the Wash Combo, a washer-dryer all-in-one unit.

The company has also incorporated features such as “AI SenseClean,” which uses AI to suggest wash cycles based on the quantity and soiledness of dishes; “AI Wash & Dry,” which analyzes fabric types; and “AI Fresh,” which adjusts cooling operations based on usage patterns.

The company has also expanded its line of energy-efficient products. Its washing machines reduce energy consumption by 70% compared to Europe’s top energy efficiency rating (Class A), while dishwashers and refrigerators achieve additional savings of 30% and 35%, respectively. The new dryer model, set to launch in Europe later this year, has improved its efficiency from Class B to Class A.

In the Media Entertainment Zone, a media gallery will be centered around the 83-inch wireless wallpaper TV, the “LG Signature OLED W.” Also on display will be the 2026 LG OLED Evo AI and Micro RGB Evo, as well as UltraGear gaming monitors that simultaneously support Full HD resolution and a 1,000 Hz refresh rate.

At the entrance to the exhibition hall, the “LG AI Orchestra,” conducted by the home robot “LG Cloid,” will be on display. Using a kinetic LED structure measuring 16 meters wide by 4 meters tall, along with home appliances, TVs, and HVAC products, the display portrays the future of the “Zero Labor Home,” where AI reduces household chores.

Baek Seung-tae, Executive Vice President and Head of the Home Solutions Business Division at LGELECTRONICS, said, “We will solidify our leadership in the global premium home appliance market through an expanded AI home ecosystem that encompasses AI appliances, AI home hubs, and AI home platforms.”
