[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] Korea Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of KOREA INVESTMENT HOLDINGS(071050), announced that it will host the “7th HanTu Battle,” a four-week domestic stock trading competition, from September 7 to October 2.
A key feature of this competition is its tailored program designed to broaden participation by taking into account participants’ ages and investment experience. In particular, the “20s Rookie Challenge” has been newly introduced to allow customers in their 20s to gain practical investment experience in an easy and fun way. It consists of a total of five missions, and reward coupons are provided upon completion of each stage.
The company is also running the “Weekly Trading Challenge” for participants of all ages. Each week, customers who meet the specified trading conditions will be entered into a drawing for prizes. An event has also been organized for customers who, after registering, fail to meet the minimum investment requirement of 100,000 won and thus cannot enter the main league. Subsequently, customers who meet the main league entry requirements and trade at least 10,000 won will be entered into a drawing to win Subway mobile coupons.
For this competition, the company has introduced the industry’s first “Open API League.” Participants can utilize various technologies, such as Open API and artificial intelligence (AI), to set their desired investment conditions and execute trades automatically. Through this, the company plans to expand participation among customers interested in technology-based investing, such as algorithmic trading and automated trading.
An official from Korea Investment & Securities stated, “The 7th Hantou Battle is designed to accommodate a wide range of participants, from those in their 20s just starting out in investing to tech-savvy investors who utilize Open API,” adding, “We will continue to develop this into a participatory investment competition that encompasses diverse generations and investment styles.”
